Title pretty much sums up the topic. Join in Progress didn’t work in Halo 5 and it won’t work in Infinite. IMO it takes the fun out of the match if the enemy team is up by 20 or 30 points and it REALLY doesn’t work in FFA if the leader has a 15 point lead.
It also really takes the fun out of a match when you have a bot on your team.
My guess is that people are quitting mostly because of challenge constraints. Hopefully, 343 will either add more playlists that allow easier completion of game mode challenges or will just change the challenges to not be specific to game modes at all.
nah id much rather have the inconvenience of joining mid-round than being stuck with a bot the whole time.
it’s not like you gain or lose XP for the outcome of a match so I don’t see it as that big of a deal
Nah, I’ll pass on this idea. Infinite’s JIP needs some balancing fixes, but it’s there for a reason. Bots don’t cut it when it comes to filling empty player slots, and one person can truly turn the tide of a match. It’s just a matter of how well the system juggles all the information between the player and the game in progress (which it doesn’t do a great job of now). Like I said, it needs a little work, but it shouldn’t be scrapped entirely.
FFA should not have that… its not fun to join a game already start.
I’ve never joined a game where I felt I even had a chance at winning. The only reason there’s space for me to join is because the team I’m joining to was getting rallied so bad they rage quit lol.
Yes, it needs to be removed. I had 4 quick play games in a row throw me into a losing situation last night. I literally quit out the fourth match and played campaign I was so sick of it.
