I was playing Regicide yesterday and I had joined the game late, the Leader was on 60 points. I had managed to claw back the deficit to a point where I was 10 points behind the leader with a score of 275(Me)-285(Leader). I managed to kill the leader putting me at 290(Me)-285(Ex-Leader).
In that encounter he managed to take out my shield. The second I killed him I reloaded my weapon, I was then shot by the previous leader the instant after I had reloaded and he won the game by killing me. 290(Me)-300(Leader)
I haver never liked the idea of instant respawn, and game-types like CTF don’t have it. But this should not be in the game full-stop.
I remember being in one of the tunnels on Haven, and having somebody kill me from Mohawk ramp. I could only get them one shot.
I hit X to skip the kill cam, and end up spawning in one of the drop-downs. I can clean up my revenge kill just because I could get back into the game instantly.
The one thing I love is when people would defend the default no picking grenades off dead bodies because it would cut back on grenade spamming. Ya and then they toss in instant respawn and it made grenade spamming worse. On maps like Haven you spawn with 2 grenades toss them off, get kill, instant respawn and you’ve got 2 more nades and sprint to get you right back where you were in a flash.
King of the hill on Haven is like a freaking grenade fest.
It makes getting revenge so much easier. Alas, I agree, waiting allows me to recooperate instead of hitting ‘x’ like CoD and going all out guns blazing to get killed.
Totally agree, its -Yoink!- me off… If they ever bring doubles back (if they don’t I wont be playing this game for to much longer) lets hope it doesnt have instant respawn… also swat and snipers… really 343? When you guys bring out the ranking system there better not be instant respawn in any of those playlists…
