Hijacking vehicles made sense in early Halos when Spartans couldn’t sprint and the only anti-vehicle weapon was that one rocket on the map.
However now, in Halo 5, Spartans are much faster, equipped with sprint and thrust; in contrast, the warthog has received notable nerfs in terms of speed and firepower. Not to mention that Halo 5 has arguably, the weakest all terrain vehicles out of any modern FPS, being susceptible to small arms fire(pistols, rifles, snipers) and not just anti-vehicle weapons. Halo 5 has a lot more anti-vehicle weapons than ever before and that should cancel out the need of a hijacking mechanic on ghosts and warthogs. When you get hijacked, there is very little you can do. It should be a squad of spartans teaming up to destroy a warthog, not a squad of players trying to protect a warthog from 1 spartan.
Solution:
Either remove vehicle hijacking on light to medium vehicles
or
implement some sort of countermeasure (i.e. EMP blast to knock off an enemy hijacker & disables their shield)
Hm. I’m having crazy deja vu.
I have no idea what you are talking about
Unless you weren’t aware there’s another thread on page 1 about not boarding heavy vehicles… and it’s almost word for word what you posted hahaha.
I agree that vehicles are complete weak sauce in 5. Hopping onto a warthog turret is a death sentence. You may as well hand the enemy a triple kill if you load one up.
Why are you making a thread like the one that already exists about removing boarding for heavy vehicles?
Cute, but I still disagree.
I’m calling plagiarism on this one…

I think this is a joke highlighting how ridiculous the original request was.

Yeah, it is a good way to make the point though.
All that’s missing is some sort of reference to Titanfall
Now we need one for flying vehicles
I wander where I’ve heard this before…

Then get to work, leatherneck

Hey, I can’t be expected to do everything around here
Light vehicles no they should be boarded just like heavies only difference heavies should have to be boarded twice or beat down before the grenade can be placed
