I can’t say that I’ve noticed. If it is true then it must be a bit mild. Any amount of grenade homing would be dumb, and a waste of resources.

If 343 wants to be helpful to people with color blindness by adding outlines. Why are they not sensitive to people with anxiety. It seems putting in a ghost feature like this and only telling the pros could over stress some peoples mental state. Wow 343 good job dropping the ball on mental health. Keep up the good work with the color blindness tho. Hopefully the color blind player with anxiety doesn’t try to crouch in the shadows near a corner because you designed a game to put them at a disadvantage. They aren’t just up against other players they have to overcome the hidden handicaps you put in too.

Nades are really annoying in ranked.
I think they should removed nades from ranked completely and makes it stay for social playlists ONLY.
Far too many times teammates have killed me or teammates have rushed into places I tossed a nade.
I also have made mistakes myself.
Nades in ranked is just trash.
I think the issue your dealing with is 343 making the game more aggressive by not having friendly fire in social. People play and get in bad habits because most teammates are trained that your grenades thrown toward an enemy means they run passed, sorry no player collision, I mean through you and absorb your shots. Because that grenade isn’t dangerous your just showing them were the bad guy is so they can charge in for the melee kill.
So when they switch to ranked their techniques and strategies are jacked. I think 343 does this on purpose to make their pro team feel better. It gives them an advantage.
Maybe if the game mechanics were universal things would be different. Sorry you need to deal with 343’s choices.

I still stand by what I meant.
Nades in ranked should be taken away and replaced with trip mine as a new equipment item for Infinite.
Because I personally think nades ruin the match, in my mind being a game of «who is better with the guns?»
This made me wonder: what if we get a campign dlc, and when it launches we have some new equipment items in the game like the trip mine.
I wonder how trip mine would be upgraded in campaign.
Bigger explosion? Remote detonation? Electric explosion? Maybe increase in quantity of usage?
I think trip mine would be very good addition to Infinite.
As I wrote, could replace nades in ranked.

Seriously? 6th installment of the game and you are saying nades are trash. 
How about removing melee as well. Or at least backsmacks. And all the weapongs except the BR.
See 343, thats what you get if you remove FF and collission to attract more casual players buying your crappy cat ears. Noone asked to remove FF, it ruins the game on so many levels…
Grenades seem like they do massive damage to me and nothing to the guys i throw them at.
I can literally die from a small AR burst followed by a grenade and then in the kill cam, see the guy whom killed me with no sheilds standing on my grenade as it goes off way closer than the one that killed me was and yet they don’t die…
I am so surprised so many people couldn’t tell grenades homed in before Luciid brought it up, but what is even more surprising are the people who claim they need video proof to believe It. Just play the game for a bit and you will see grenades home in. Or watch a twitch stream. Theater in this game sucks and I don’t use any system to have replays of my games so I cannot show video but it has happened to me. Some worse than others. Usually it is subtle and doesn’t seem to home in if you have active camo equipped but if you have high ping then the homing mechanic is was more noticeable.

With so much bs in this game you don’t even pause to think about it when a homing grenade kills you… you just go “how the f did I die again?” and move on because you’ve got used to the game being a huge pile of poop. To think that the grenade actually followed you? lol wth is wrong with this studio?

To me it seems like grenades have magnetism like bullets do. I think they likely put it in due to equipment like thrust, grapple, etc which can make players a lot more evasive. Halo 5 seemed to have some grenade magnetism also but everyone had built in thrust that was better than infinites thrust and it seemed more subtle and consistent in halo 5 compared to infinite.
This thread is kind of just speculation unless someone can provide some video evidence.
I’ve played a lot of HI and haven’t experienced any more “god nade” than previous Halos. Good players throw good grenades. Grenades have some random behavior, they bounce around and depending on their bounces can take longer to explode. Sometimes that ends up working for you, sometimes against you.
Compare this to lunge or collision, where there’s a veritable mountain of evidence that it happens on a game-to-game basis.

At almost 2000 games I can’t see I ever thought “wow, that nade got sucked to me…”. Desync and some other random stuff is always present in this game, so of course I wondered more than enough how this particular nade killed me or took so much damage. But to prove a certain theory why it happens, you need some proof. The word of a pro is not enough…
I don’t need any proof, I know what I am experiencing. Grenades have magnetism and have since at least halo 5 which is when I got good enough at shooters to have an idea of what was going on. The fact that a pro commented on it doesn’t mean anything to me because even if he hadn’t myself and friends I play with have been talking about it since launch. If you need proof just google it there are videos out there. Here is an example.

This is a dramatic example and it is not always this bad but it happens. You can google other examples yourself.
