Remove granades

Currently in the games there is an excess of grenades. They should reduce the number of player’s initial grenades.
This would help improve the experience of the game by making it more balanced.

The balance should be applied in ranked match, it is very frustrating to receive too many grenades, this creates a spam of grenades.

The player should respawn with 1 initial grenade.

Halo has always had it’s moments where a game becomes a cluster-duck with grenade spam, it’s a powerful tool to deny entry & lock down certain areas, especially in ranked.

That’s what I mean. In the ranked match there should not be so many grenades. Basically the game is just throwing grenades. :frowning:

Idk if friendly fire is on in Ranked as I haven’t played it yet, but it needs to be if it isn’t.

Blowing up your teammates is a good way to reduce grenade spam, which is the issue of having FF off.

FF is Avaible the problem is when the enemy team trow 5 o more granades, Especially in games like oddball, steongholds and CTF.

Well then it’s fine honestly. That’s no different than older Halo games. It was worse in 1 and 2 when everyone had 4 grenades.

I think it is on in ranked but not quickplay/BTB/Bot matches.

Yeah, uh, betrayals are still possible in BTB at least. I should know because I accidentally splattered a teammate once, and killed two others with a Warthog explosion.

What are you even talking about my dude? This is Halo. You should actually be starting with plasma grenades and have to find the frags on the map.

Knowing how to deal with grenades is one of the cornerstones for getting good at the franchise overall. You should be using grenades to flush out bad guys and control their movements, and if you die to simple 'nade spamming then you gotta pay better attention, they make noise to let you know when they’re near.

Friendly fire is off outside of ranked… but there is no such thing as friendly physics, a charging warthog hurts whether it’s friendly or not.

Yea you can still splatter teammates or kill them with the area of effect with Fusion Coils, but that’s it.

Ah, I see how there’s a little technicality in there, then. Fair enough.

Nah bro how about they give us 4 slots per grenade like H2

First time in the sandbox? :stuck_out_tongue:

Just no. Learn how to play better and use them to your advantage. U will die from them don’t be frustrated. It’s part of the golden triangle of halo… you have just as many. To throw. Also always expect grenades are comin and move accordingly.

Welcome to Halo.

Okay, that was flippant, but I really don’t think it’s that bad. You need to avoid situations where you are trapped and getting bombed.

btw, I am loving the Shock Grenades. They’re very fun to use, great for both Spartan’s and vehicles, and most importantly, I find them very funny.

My biggest issue with the grenades is that the ‘danger cues’ are nowhere near as strong as they used to be and so a lot of the time I don’t realise they’re even there until they explode and kill me. The bouncing ‘clink’ and whooshing noise that frags made used to stand out over basically every other sound in the game but in Infinite they get lost amongst the general noise of gameplay far, far too easily. Stickies and spikes are also oddly quiet to the point where I didn’t even realise I had one stuck to me. Again, in the older games the audio cues for ‘there’s a grenade on your face, RIP buddy’ were extremely strong but they’re easily missed in Infinite.

I love grenedes. The issue is how they bounce around the regular ones and you end up running into it blowing yourself up. They are like tennis balls. WTF?

I bet there is a few simple lines of code and a switch, like bounce number they can just change and the behavior is more like Halo 5.

Yeah I complained about this in the flight and it was ignored. Grenades are SO present in every fight. They should either be nerfed damage-wise, or reduced to on-map only pickups.
