Something I find really annoying is when I’m scoped in and someone starts shooting me. But just before I click the thumbstick to zoom out, they just happen to land their shot a split second before, so I end up zooming back in. So instead of being able to just zoom out and turn around and shoot, I’m repeatedly stuck in a loop of zooming in and out.
An easy fix to this would be to simply get knocked off target when taking shots, so that you have control of whether or not you’re zoomed in, but snipers still wouldn’t be able to aim while taking shots zoomed in.

EDIT: Your aim would only go off while zoomed in. Everything else stays the same.
Definitely no. I’d rather be able to aim correctly than getting my reticle knocked all around the screen when I get shot. Being unable to hadle getting zoomed out when shot is the user’s fault, not the game’s.
The fix idea sounds absolutely terrible, it destroys the whole concept of you being able to decide where your shots will go.
I apologize for being so outspoken, but the fix sounds terrible and the current system works well enough. As I said, the problem is in the user.
i think i come down on the “no thanks” side of this one. i mean, i TOTALLY get where you’re coming from OP and i’ve BTDT and it IS annoying…but on the other hand, it’s the lesser of 2 evils and one of the risks you run when you use your scope.
while it is annoying its not that big because eventually you stop trying to zoom in or out, or at least I do. what I would change is when you’re hit while crouching you stand up. its really annoying when you’re almost dead and trying to hide and you’re hit by a needle, stand up and get pwnd by everything that is trying to kill you…
When I said you should get knocked out of scope, I meant that as in only when you’re zoomed in. When you zoom out, your aim would be back to normal. So either way, you’d still have to zoom out, but it just gives you more control. Snipers would still be able to quick/no scope while getting shot.
Imagine that you’re zoomed in. As you get shot your reticule sways off target, but as you zoom out it resets. And if you decide to zoom back in for a quick scope, you’ll be back on target again until you take another hit.
Regular, un-scoped DMR battles and the like would be normal.
yeah, i get what you mean but i still think it’s a bad idea. for exactly the reason you sated - it gives you more control. if someone is able to get next to a scoped in sniper, that’s on the sniper. he/she shouldn’t have an advantage because he’s scoped in.
being knocked out of scope is completely reasonable, IMO. it does exactly what it’s intended - distract you and makes shooting harder.
I think it is fine how it is. If there is a bit distance between two people in a BR/DMR battle, it is the one who manage to stay in scope who have the advantage.
yes i -Yoinking!- hate that, it should just knock or aim or somthing, but its one of those things where it’ll piss people off if its there
“omg why does it keep knocking me out of scope!” and if its not
“omg you shouldn’t be able to still snipe when ive put X amount of bullets into you!”
