Flinch - This is a mechanic where when you are shot your crosshairs go up, similar to recoil although it’s completely out of your hands and gives the oponnent an advantage if they get first shot. You can’t control flinch but simply must compensate for it instead. It’s disliked because it takes away from an element of skill, it ruins your shots and it’s not considered competitive to some. Many halo pros complained about this feature, including Hysteria and Ninja, being prominent streamers of the Halo 5 beta.
Sure I dislike Flinch but these petitions never seem to work, it’s like how most have been wanting Elites before Halo 4 came out to return for the modern trilogy, now Halo 5 is around the corner and they still don’t exist yet in MM so hard to tell if they’ll listen about the Flinch.

The reticle does in fact move, heavily.
So many pros were complaining about it over this weekend’s Halo 5 closed beta.
But they said there will be no flinch. They also said smart scope does not improve accuracy. Are they really lying or what? I am just concerned. I want halo 5 to be awesome.

I do not see how it takes away from any skill elements, surely it adds a layer and takes more skill to turn a firefight and win if you have to also compensate for being under fire and flinching rather than just being able to turn around instant shoot back and win. Why is it everyone always wants their hands held in games these days? Anything that makes it more difficult for player and everyone -Yoinks!-.

What saddens me is 343 appear more and more to be outright liars and scam artists.
They said flinch is out. Yet here it is.
The whole “Trust us” mantra they spewed during H4 development encapsulates what kind of people they are. Our franchise has been turned over to some crooked people.
I fully agree on removing Flinch. It does heavily effect your aim while getting shot, especially by an AR or SMG. I had lots of situations that I got a guy one shot, he then sprayed me with an AR/SMG and I just couldn’t get the headshot because of it. Flinch is definitely not removed, and definitely heavily alters your aim, its a joke.
