There is one Objective in Firefight that annoys me, and the worst thing about it is you haven’t even fixed it from the beta. Defend the Garage. More like Die Outside Garage. We can’t get in because too many enemies, mostly Knights are in there and the usually are somewhere a tank or wraith can’t reach. Then there is the bloody Phaetons that keep spawning, keeping us from reaching the damn thing and destroying vehicles. Another thing that annoys me is you claim its supposed to be random, yet how come we never get any Covenant forces on this objective, I think it would much easier to deal with them. I believe I posted this these exact complaints in the feedback for the beta and you haven’t listened.
Also, to the mod that lock the last thread. How about messaging me asking to change the title if it was against the rules instead of locking it right away. Also, a petition is a good way to tell when something is crap.

Hiding on the lip above the ramp on the side facing red base helps.
I will agree that most defend objectives become impossible as soon as your team loses its foothold. There are just too many enemies to kill and you go down far too quickly. Maybe some tweaks to the AI or make it so the enemies don’t spawn until an objective has been completely cleared. Killing like 4-5 knights with 3 soldier commandos with splinter turrets just guarantees that someone is gonna die within seconds.
You lose two Spartans or two guys just don’t know what they’re doing and it just snowballs.
I held most of them off with a ghost ultra last night but no one else brought in Any reqs so when I died We lost it. A ghost and a Warthog sitting upstairs Will take care of that fairly easily. Everyone else bring some automatic weapons and maybe 1 big gun.

or just make it so it doesn’t spawn in 30-40 bullet sponges with heat seeking weaponry simultaneously. The elites are pretty guilty of it too. Just spawn with super strong shields and weapons that tear you apart in 2-3 seconds while they just bumrush you.

Just because you complained, doesn’t mean they were going to do it. You cannot say 343 hasn’t listened, when they clearly stated that in the Beta it was a difficulty spike, but they decided not to remove it and instead tweaked the spawns of the enemies. They never said it was random, they said the round objectives, were random, not the enemies. The best way to defeat this objective is to hold it down with a vehicle like a rockethog, or even a normal warthog. and some Fuel Rod Cannons. Tanks are really not going to be very much help in this situation, maybe taking down the Phaetons, or the incoming enemies. I don’t know why you’re complaining about tanks not being able to enter buildings. Defending the Garage means you should be inside of it, so of course -Yoinking!- tanks wouldn’t be able to reach it. Do you even use REQs?
This objective is okay if you actually work together as a team and people actually call in REQS rather than thinking they can just complete the round with and AR and a BR. Also what cannot be stressed enough when fighting Prometheans is use their own weapons against them is a must really. Light Rifles, Suppressors, Bolt Shots, Scattershots and Incineration Cannons are so much more effective against them than standard weapons.
Also if you have the Reqs two tanks and a Banshee really help with this round if everyone else stays inside the base you can complete it with little hassle even if no one else uses Promethean weapons in this scenario.

True, but those elites come in groups of 2 or 3 with non-heatseeking weapons, not 10 or 20 with heatseeking weapons.
Everything about prometheans in Firefight is just wrong, and with defend objectives they are just a pain in the -Yoink-, giving their massive health, heatseeking weapons, ability to teleport all over the place, SPAWN INSIDE THE -Yoinking!- BUILDING and instant reinforcements instead of having to be flown in.
So I am for removing them entirely, as they are not balanced, even remotely, for Firefight.

I have to agree to an extent, they just need to revamp the objective, not necessarily remove it. Lower the # of knights or make it easier on us to get inside first and spawn them outside.
To your locked thread: you agreed to the terms unless you ignored them and just accepted. It’d be on you for getting it locked buddy. It’s also vs the rules to talk about mod decisions which this one is doing. If you just scrap that bottom paragrapgh and pm the specific mod to ask him the questions and such you’ll save yourself more trouble.
The hardest part is the the phaetons because once they find you, you’re done. I’ve also run into the problem of people spawning too many tanks because one person was effective so next thing you know there’s 4 wraiths driving around with no one inside. The biggest issue is that people are afraid to go into the garage due to the respawn timer being so long.

It’s useless using Ghosts because, as i said in my post, mostly knights end up in the garage and because there are so many in a tightly packed space. You get destroyed. Same with a warthog. The vehicles that could take out a Knight are useless because so many come at you or the vehicle is too big and the angles you have are rubbish. Then there is getting to the garage, like I said in my post, there is the constant spawning of phaetons (at least on the map used in the beta) as they will eventually just take you out if the knights don’t get you. What’s the point of trying to use a fuel rod cannon when the phaeton is catching you seconds after you spawn This objective has not changed 1 bit since the beta and even then it was broken. It doesn’t matter if the spawns have changed, the result is still the same. In the Defend the Armory or Defend the Fortress, at least it is possible to stay alive because there isn’t so much stopping you from getting back in the objective. In Defend the Fortress, I can be in there with a Wraith, hiding in the bottom entrances picking off the enemies spawning. You think I haven’t played enough of Firefight to know when something is broken. Once the knights get it’s impossible to get back in the armory because there is so much distracting you on the outside that when you get there, you die because more spawn outside and the knights just one shot you. I’ve tried to see if there are other ways to do something, I do use my REQs but when the Objective comes up, it’s OVER because it is BROKEN.

Sarcasm time…
Na, I think that bullet sponges present a fair challenge to players. It wouldn’t be fair if it didn’t take a whole 7 clips of AR ammo just to see any damage done at all.
Then there aim bot is totally fair, it makes players have to run and hide, giving them the challenge of finding cover and never being able to run into the open unless they want to get sniped by an incineration cannon.
Also, those warden fights on apex are great, I think what would make it even better is throw in some more wardens to replace the nights, but it would have to be the red ones cuz any lower teir would just be to easy.
