I actually disagree with most the people here.
This gamemode has actually became my favourite mode to play in Halo Infinite. It has that casual element I’ve been looking for, and also allows for fun plays with the camo.
I’m honestly loving it
the original 1 Flag game modes throughout Halo have been fun. Not sure what is going on with it now but in previous Halo games… 1 Flag was awesome

I’ve found it alright. It isn’t ground-breaking, but it’s just a bit of fun. If you don’t enjoy it, then you can play another gamemode. It’s only a temporary one anyway, so your wish will be granted at some point.
Tried one game. Rage quit half way through. Utter garbage.
Back to SWAT it is. Even if that means having to endure all the BS additions 343i made to that playlist.
Come on guys. We need third type of CTF way more than PvE.

idk. attacking seems really easy. you have infinite stealth, so you can stealth while you’re still stealthed.open up with two grenades, then pulse fire headshot a group.
Based on the videos I saw for this, I expected it to be crazy unbalanced with invisible flag carriers, but what you guys are saying makes me wonder. I’ll play it today and see how it goes.
I thought it was fun, as a wacky sort of nonsense gametype. It’s action sack fodder, and that’s ok.
Giving one side the Commando and Sword and the other a pulse carbine and sidekick is wildly imbalanced though, that’s like throwing a puppy into a tiger enclosure and telling it to do it’s best, even with the pulse carbine buff.

Oh c’mon, I find it refreshing, almost feel like playing a party game à la Grifball. It is indeed hard to put your hand on the flag, but it’s exciting and scary af to bring that flag back, and it’s also exciting when you spam your sensor everywhere to find that flag stolen from you!
What would be cool is a game mode where the invisible team have no weapon (but could backstab the searching thing for bragging and tea-bagging), and there be no flag, just 2 rounds of each team taking sides, and the team that got the most kill on his searching round win the match. You would have to shoot your sensor everywhere, in every corner of the map, while the other would have to hide as much as they can x)
I can imagine it being useful for a double xp weekend game mode in a party playlist… however the winter update should have brought us standard one flag to start with.

I personally really enjoy it. It’s definetly a very casual gamemode, but thats not exactly something to hold against it.
It’s a good mode, but certain maps (recharge, detachment to name a few) destroy the balance of the game. In a good map it’s super fun tho. I’d give the more overall a 7/10
Personally I thought it was actually kinda fun, I just hate the marketing of it. Anyone could make this in custom games (if the custom games editor actually worked, which it still doesn’t after a year lol), it’s not revolutionary or exciting. It’s a neat action sack game that I’d play now and then, but 343 didn’t do anything special. I wish they wouldn’t keep trying to act like they did.

It’s always an easy response to something brand new.
These type of new game modes I believe will be the saving Grace for Halo Infinite. Just like the Fiesta BTB Event some time ago, these unique game modes are new and exciting.

I see the idea behind this mode and think it could be good, with some changes to the loadouts. Like if they brought back the Plasma Rifle or regular old Carbine and used that, instead of the godawful piece of junk that is the Pulse Carbine

I’m enjoying it. It Isn’t my favorite, but I’ve had a good few matches.
Also, pulse carbine and pistol is the new noob combo. I hope y’all aren’t trying to actually get kills with the carbine. If so, then ya, you’re going you hate it.
