Remove community maps from ranked slayer

i don’t know why there are community maps like transit ranked slayer but it needs to be removed

They rotate around to keep it fresh. That being said, I’m not sure I’ve ever played on Transit so I can’t comment on its quality.

Is the same thought that i have when Fissure and Echelon was add in Arena HCS but KayMrt is on right, the game need to kept fresh.

I’ve only played Transit two times and so far I am neutral on it. Fullmetal on the other hand is straight trash for 4v4. No offense to the makers of the map, I’m sure it would work better for doubles than 4v4. Don’t take me wrong I’m not saying I want it in doubles, I’m saying it would work better in doubles. I’m all for the game being kept fresh but not with maps like Russet and Fullmetal.

I would prefer if DLC remade maps were added honestly… way too many maps in H2C to even think about the Anniversary. I wish we had forge remakes at least, that way you know they will work properly unlike a new map that may need further testing.

I don’t think you understand how much time great forgers put into making and testing just a simgle map.

And In most cases I don’t find old dev maps to be any good especially translated to h5 they hardly function at all.

I believe that they should bring back a voting system for the maps again, similar to Reach how the game mode and map variant could be selected so everyone knows, rather than a random map and game type, only knowing when you’ve spawned in

I know people take a lot of time for making forge maps, I even make some of them and spawning is really hard to do well; what I really wanted to say is that H2C had many maps that could be used in H2A as it’s essentially a remake, instead of adding new ones that could be better placed in a community only playlist at the moment (many would enjoy them more like that in my opinion). Including brand new maps should only be done after a certain amount of DLC maps have been added, as many people just remember the old maps and want to play them again. I’m not against adding community made maps, it’s just my personal experience in Reach that forge maps used to have very low framerates as they weren’t optimal enough, and when I play H2A I usually want to play old maps without having to learn the new ones. PC has changed that issue, fortunately.

I don’t want new forge maps to be removed whatsoever, just prioritize remakes. I enjoy many of the 2v2 community maps, but some of the 4v4 scenaries could use further testing in terms of spawning and frame rate. I wasn’t even referring to the current ones, just the plans to include more of them if somehow they haven’t been tested enough, that’s why I stated “may need”.

As for Halo 5 remakes, the gameplay changes entirely so that may be the root of the problem, not the map itself. H2C and H2A are very similar for that matter (if you don’t count certain interactions), so they should work fine.

ofc there are good forgers and all that but dont you think it would be better for them to have their own playlist rather than putting the maps in ranked slayer? they shouldve at least made an announcement with that change

Trust me, I know the amount of time people put into making these maps and testing them. Fullmetal was apparently rushed or not even tested at all. Direct hits with rockets will not kill players but now that I know the map better I can say it is alright. It could use some fixing though. Transits spawns are just atrocious, not to mention one team has an advantage towards overshield at their initial spawn. I think it is blue team. I have never seen the opposing team reach overshield first.

No. Veto and voting is terrible for map list… It basically means the whole community 90% of the time will just be playing the same 2 or 3 maps and it gets horribly stale

id rather play a map i dont like as much then to only play the same 2 maps on repeat.

Yes they do have an advantage to over shield but the other team has an advantage to nadelunch and a plasma pistol balance it.

Fair enough, just a suggestion. I did prefer it when I could see the map I was playing before spawning in, preparing me for the carnage that awaits

On real Halo maps both teams have equal access to power weapons/ups off of initial spawns. Look at Truth, Regret, Coli, Fathom, Russet, Fullmetal, every map in the game except Transit lol. The maps that were like Transit; Tryant, Overgrowth, Molten, and Riptide are no longer in 4v4 Slayer which says a lot.

Considering 5 out of 6 are symmetrical and full metal isn’t and can’t be perfectly balanced… Also Pretty sure hydra an extremely effective weapon on full metal is placed on one side as well.

Asymmetrical maps aren’t, can’t, will never be perfectly balanced and that’s a good thing.

Fullmetal is trash but the power weapons can easily be reached by both teams. This includes the Hydra it may be asymmetrical but both teams can contend with power weapons just like a symmetrical map. If only the power weapons would actually work on those maps.

You can contend all power pickups on transit it’s just more likely one team will get os while the other team will get nade launcher

Not true, that just isn’t Halo. Blue team always gets GL(if they go for it) and red team always gets OS. Yes, GL can counter OS but who says that they won’t get sniped first? On a balanced Halo map power ups/weapons are within equal reach of BOTH teams. That is my point. I have spent plenty of time on this map because I am making another jump video and I can say without a doubt in my heart that it is trash. I do hope you are trolling.
