These stupid clan maps are some of the most annoying things I’ve had to come across in custom games and they need to stop being put in the browser. Half the stuff I see in the custom browser now a days are those stupid Clan Recruitment maps and it wastes so much space and time trying to skip past them to find actual custom games. At least shove clan recruitment map to the very last few pages of the browser as they are not real custom games and shouldn’t be towards the front pages of the custom game browser.

It’s not that big of a deal. Clans aren’t my cup of tea either but they aren’t taking over the customs browser by any stretch of the imagination. Yes there are a few but it’s really not that hard to just ignore them.

You could always come to PC, where clan recruitment games aren’t in play. At all.

Before clicking on the link I immediately knew what video you were talking about. Unfortunately it’s not that many forgers who make the maps, there’s a few that aren’t actually in clans who make the maps but the rest are built by people in clans. All I ever see is the same maps reused by every clan, especially the Cairo Station clan map that everyone seems to use.

i haven’t seen any of those before unless the thumbnail maps are those maps where they don’t show the actual map in the thumbnail but some stupidly random picture. never seen that second type of map at all.

I imagine now how someone actully finds a girlfriend in assassination tower and needs to explain his friends how he met her:
“Well,I shoved my knife straight through her neck and called her an noob.It was love in the first second”.
But to your problem.I dont know how the situation in the custom browser is now,but back when I played,it still had more then enough other maps beside recruting.

hahahahah yeah i don’t play Halo 5 often but when I attempt to I play it for custom games and when browsing I am always coming across Clan Recruitment maps on every page and it’s the same exact map or variants of it.
I agree! Every page of the Customs Browser has at least half or less than half of clan recruitments. Imo I don’t even see the reasons for clans, or what they do. It’s a cool concept to get a group of people to play, but most of what clans do are… unnecessary. It wouldn’t be right to just have them wiped every minute from the browser, but maybe filtered to the last pages like you suggested.

yeah it’s someone’s remake of the Cairo Station from Halo 2 that some clan kid stole and claimed as their own.

They are it’s not too often you see it but they are they typically only allow 2 players (1 being host). Desc goes like this “must be female/ girl must have mic” I can only assume and hope our neck beard brothers invade those lobbies.
the browser rarely goes over 9 pages these days while the clan stuff is sort of an annoyance it’s not game breaking like the custom games constantly freezing
Actually bud, rather than removing clan recruitment lobbies entirely, I think a categorization system similar to Roblox’s selection would do wonders for this kind of stuff. I also mentioned this idea on another thread, but I can’t help but share it on this one as well.

I heard it was made by one clan and a rival clan stole it out from under them using a “spy” (more likely the maker forgot to make it private or put it out somewhere, its really not that hard to “get” a map after all).
I remember when it first showed up there was a group of 12 year olds going around interrogating people on where they got the map. Someone should’ve told them you cant put the smoke back in the bottle.
