What’s up with bullet magnatisim? Is it my internet being slow, are the servers broken, or is it just poor and lazy machanics by 343. I don’t know but it needs to go away in halo 5. In my opinion its one of the things that made halo drop in skill gap and population. I know bullet magnatisim has been around since halo 2. But since reach it got awful and just keeps getting worse. Why does its need to be removed you ask? Because since Halo CE halo has been one of the most skilled required shooters of all time. Ya its a simple shooter to a lot of people. But we all know its had the biggest skill gap in any other FPS since halo 3. Another reason it just kills FPS games in general all together. No one wants a game to cater to noobs and bratty kids. People want true competition and other than that it brings fun into halo and we can all enjoy. I’m not trying to make this a hate thread. I want halo to get back on top of the food chain of FPS and make COD master chiefs -Yoink-. I’m not giving up on halo yet and neither should any of us. Let’s get halo back on top people.

Halo 5 is the #1 preordered game in the U.S. I’m pretty sure that the average person who goes to school, work, buys several games a year, etc, isn’t really going to be thinking about bullet magnetism when October 27 comes around. They will think of an epic sci-fi campaign and probably the most balanced and equal footed fps game on any console in quite a few years.
Bullet mag is a form of aim assist to help with the lag issue. No bullet mag result in shots not consistently registering so on your end it will look as though your shots aren’t doing anything.
Problem in h5 is it is way way way over done. It’s to the point that body shots consistently registered as head shots, even the casual joes noticed. So yes it needs a major nerf.
We’ve no idea what 343 has done since the beta regarding bullet mag if any.
I’m still waiting for proof that it’s bullet magnetism instead of BR spread. And no, you can’t go off of the killcams since they were apparently dysfunctional in the beta.

I know that but my point in this post I don’t get bullet magnatisim.
Well… You can’t just ‘remove’ bullet magnetism from a console FPS… especially not an online one.
There’s a reason they cranked up the magnetism in Halo 2 compared to CE, and there’s a reason they added hitscan
Online play depends on it. Players will desync, shots will register too late, too early, etc. Frequently, not at all. The crosshairs are going lie to you. That’s just the reality of online play. It’s why MLG tournaments are mostly LAN.
With magnetism on, this doesn’t matter. The bullets are magnetized, and accounts for player desync, seemingly very well. It is yet another reason I heavily favor Halo 2 Multiplayer. Spartans move very fast, and even more so compared to other console shooters. In online matches this does need balancing. We’re not aiming with a mouse, after all.
While it increases the skill gap to remove it online (although certainly not as much as people think it does) it makes P2P scenarios very, very wonky.
Halo 2 in the original xbox, has/had a ubber bullet magnetism. I didn’t see people complaining, you know why? Because forums weren’t that populated and people concentrated in having fun instead of complaining on forums. Its still considered the best MP experience of that time. Halo 5 is nowhere near that intense in magnetism. Everyone’s soo full of themselfs it bothers. Games are made to entertain, to have a fun little competition. I think people overwatched pokemon.
