Remove BR recoil and switch to slow projectiles

Accurate isn’t the term I’d use.

Actually there is bloom. And lots of it.

Not on the BR. Not in Infinite. It’s flawlessly predictable, with no variation or randomness. In other games it had a sort of cone of spray but now it’s a vertical pattern

BR is perfect, leave as is plenty of other weapon issues anyways.

Exactly my point.

You’re wrong but have fun believing you’re correct and trolling people.

Proof? Can you show a clip of shots not hitting a player standing still at range?

I’m not wrong, this has been proven by multiple people. The BR doesn’t have bloom, it has recoil

Horrible example. Quite a few of the Splitgate maps are on the larger side. They only feel small because you can literally teleport everywhere.

My point is that you want to take a game that as a pretty “meh” sandbox and take one of the actually good weapons and make it also “meh”.

And just like that, you have practically proven that you have the mental capacity of a twelve year old.
Your comebacks are empty.
Your standpoint was proven by multiple people to be foolhardy and yet you insist to try attempt to look down upon others; when all you are doing is admiring my cheap shoes.

Your vote on what happens in Halo Infinite is still invalid since you do not play the game.

The thing is, in h3 you had the default settings and then MLG settings for the hardcore players who wanted the tournament settings. Essentially 2 games that felt different man. The BR caused some random variables with the way it was designed. It may have seemed like it added skill, but the reality is that the spread of the burst would sometimes cause Rng to take place in who would win gun fights. It isn’t because it was harder to hit people. That sensation was basically artificially created. Bloom does the same thing for some weapons. We seen that in reaches dmr, and later the zero bloom playlist came out.

So to combat this, h3s tournament settings (alongside MLG playlist) was to up the damage to 110%. Movement speed also went up to 110%, and shield recharge rate i believe went to 90%. Halo infinite honestly should have went this route. Have a slower paced experience for unranked. The current ranked has all the right settings for the players who like tournament settings but The players who wants standard ranked though…radar…slower bms would have probably liked to have that traditional experience that reminds them of h3. Like a difference between the 2, and it would flow through into stuff like btb where you’re on those bigger maps dealing with what you’re mentioning. I recall many threads where people actually didn’t like the speed of our spartans in infinite. Too fast. Personally, I love being able to strafe fast but…I get it. Kinda goes back to what I’m saying. Lots of those people were players who basically stopped playing halo way back then and came back thinking they’d get more h3 vibes in the new game.

A lot of people batted an eye because of the same issues in H3 that H:I is having. Problem is, the hit reg and desync is 100000000X worse than H3 was. I would probably break my setup if they did something like this. The BR is fine. Stop

Well wrap it up folks no more updates for Infinite then. Can’t risk changes introducing new issues

God forbid we hold any devs to any sort of standard. Better to just wallow in mediocrity am i right?

no more updates?

We do want updates
ACTUAL UPDATES

Why waste our time with a useless BR retweak instead of, oh I dunno, any of the following -

  • Fixing servers and the dozens of bugs in the game
  • The gamemodes that are still out of the game
  • More maps that we need to have proper match diversity
  • Adding in the 50+ weapons that are still not in the game
  • Adding in the 20 or so vehicles still not in the game
  • Giving players co-op
  • Retweaking the shop system to be more consumer friendly

We want actual “updates” that the entire audience is requesting not “tweaks” that a literally half-of-a-handful of people are asking for because the guns in another game franchise shoot differently.

343 Industires?
Respecting their target audience and having development standards?
Quite the comedian you are.

So 343 needs to fix and add all these things(which to be clear they do need to do a lot of it) but they are also too incompetent’s to do one balance tweak?

Commando’s suggestion is not mutually exclusive with doing anything you’ve listed. For the life of me I don’t why understand this level of vitriol is being directed at the suggestion that one weapon shoot more like its counterparts did CE or Halo 3.

Yes.
Very incompetent.
For example, we wanted a sequel to Halo 3.
Instead they gave us Halo Reach with about 5,000 mods installed, where maybe 1,000 of them didn’t work and another 454 of them caused errors. They decided to call that product Halo 4.

Is it really so hard to give Halo fans an actual Halo title?
It is such a basic thing to do.
And yet, even though we asked for something specific, we received something barely like it at all.

Imagine, if you would, entering a Chinese restaurant.
You order General Tsao’s chicken.
And the staff bring out a bucket of crispy KFC.
And when you go to the staff and complain, they gaslight you. They say
I don’t see the problem. You got your chicken. It was fried. Why are you complaining? Don’t bring such toxic behavior into my establishment! Either sit and enjoy the food I made you or leave!

That is basically what 343 has been doing.
Overdesigning and going WAY too far out of the way to make something that is almost entirely different than what their target audience wanted.
And when we complain or provide actual constructive feedback, we are either ignored or they listen half-way and only do the bare minimum of effort required to fix the games to make them somewhat likable.

Incompetence.

I don’t disagree with what you are saying here, at all, which is why I don’t understand why you would have any expectation that any of the other stuff you want to see get done is ever going to get done in a satisfactory manner.

Also if you wanted a sequel to Halo 3 why are you so dead set against a change that would make this game more like Halo 3?

Because as it stands right now, the weapon sandbox is NOT like Halo 3’s.
The BR right now is one of the peak mid-tier weapons in the game.
This change would diminish it and have it fall alongside the Commando Rifle.

Until the Sandbox is more better balanced with plenty of alternatives instead of so many dump-weapon-pickups; the BR should remain as-is.

The proposed change does not have to come at the expense of all other balance changes. I don’t think OP should have to lay out the entirety of their preferred sandbox balance changes to make a suggestion regarding one weapon.

To use another example I personally hate bloom as a mechanics(if you feel differently that’s fine its just an example) and I would want to see it removed from say, the Commando, but obviously doing that would require other balance changes in order to be able to make that change without breaking the Commando.

Its a change I think would make gameplay generally better, but make it isn’t the only change we can make.

Bloom is such a stupid concept in Halo anyway.

Bloom exists in other shooters as soldiers have difficulty handling the recoil of a gun.

Halo has you being an augmented super-strong soldier who’s armor increases your capabilities by a factor of five.
YOU LITERALLY FLIP TANKS IF THEY TOPPELED OVER !
And yet you cannot handle the recoil control of a 10mm pistol or a .308 cartridge rifle?

I could see it being added to Halo 3 ODST to further emphasize that ODSTs are just Human.
But nah.

You have to start somewhere, I’ve posted before on how to rebalance Infinite’s sandbox. Either way my proposed changes would still be better for the game.

To you, the BR is fine. To me and others it is not and as such we will continue our campaign against it’s design in Infinite.

Also you complaining that I don’t play the game is funny, I would play the game if it was actually good…but instead players such as you strike down any suggestions that would bring older fans back.
