Removing aim assist for m/k and controller would lead to controller players being absolutely waffle-stomped. Controllers need aim assist to compete with mouse. Otherwise there is no fair, pure skill game.
As a side note, it takes a considerable amount of skill to compete against high-skill players on controller. It’s not the free handout that alot of PC players seem to think it is.

Sorry for the harsh words but this is a pointless, egoistic and small minded post tbh. No offense to the OP, but in this Halo compared to MCC, MnK has a huge advantage since AA is really low (and sometimes doesn’t even work, it’s buggy and the general aiming with controller feels weird). I play with both and besides the too fast strafing and “A-D” spam, it’s really easy to kill and perform with MnK.
Besides that, Controller is the inferior input device. Imho, crossplay should be only seen as a little “gimmick” a “wellwill from the devs” (in case a friend with other plattform want to play casually a game with you, for there it’s possible to play). Both (MnK and Controller players) should always play, only with and against their input device. It will never be balanced in mixed. This applies for both inpiut devices.
This is the first Halo, PC was minded from the start of the development (or at least it feels so), and you can feel it, imho.
PC players say oh, get rid of aim assist. But why not just say get rid of console Halo then? You know why they don’t, well, because they wanna farm the console players who have no aim assist, that’s why. All so PC players can be and feel superior. Well, guess what I think as a console player? Halo should’ve never come to PC in the first place. I believe this wholeheartedly. Then there’d be no arguing over this stuff. It wouldn’t matter. PC players will ruin Halo Infinite with their hacking anyways.

No, not accurate at all. HALO CE and Halo 2 were on PC.
Just make it less strong or gamepad/controller and MKB lobbys.
And this is coming from a CS GO Global Elite player. I got very good aim but its not even remotely fair if a dude runs up to you with a pistol and perfects you and you shoot 3 or 4 bullets but you still diebecause he hits everyshot into the helmet.
It should be an option in the settings if you want it on or off.
