the map Gambol is a great map but the active camo completely destroys the balance of beakout. not sure who thought it’d be a good idea to add it into breakout but it’s way too powerful for that gametype
I totally disagree. I think it works perfectly. There’s a breakout map with over shield as well (I don’t remember which map), power ups make for more interesting matches and things for teammates to fight opponents for.
I don’t like it either, the point of breakout is that map weapons have only a slight, specific advantage. Active Camo gives you a huge edge, even if you can see their footprints.
Every map has something a hydra is in the third one. It makes it more dynamic
Agreed, 100% agreed. Camo plays waaay too much of a factor. There was also a map I played where one side had a BR, the other side had AR. A couple of those maps a bit of work.
i don’t know i was drunk posting earlier now i’m super drunk posting. it’s odd tho for the gametype. i love breakout, it’s hella fun but seems like that map whoever controls the camo wins.

Gambol ends up becoming a fight for the camo. If your team doesn’t get camo, you’re very likely to lose. Makes for some very uninteresting gameplay.
Just make it an over shield. (Which I’m pretty sure would be the only breakout map with that)
Deffinetly agree with this. Active camo needs to be removed from breakout and yes, replaced with speed boost would be so much better
Camo in Breakout? That sounds absolutely terrible. Next thing you know they kept the camo on The Rig in SWAT… I wouldn’t know, I don’t play either.
I actually like the camo being a very important power up now and I enjoy it so much in that map. Sorry, but I do hope it stays.
Why not just kill the guy going for the AC? He’s totally exposed…
One of the premises of breakout is the risk/reward of pick ups.
It works fine, just concentrates a rush for it is all.
Agreed power ups in Breakout feel unnecessary and seems like to much of a power curve.
in breakout, we shouldn’t have power ups for more competitive playlist.
It’s a good point that I’m not sure about yet.
Without question its OP as fk in this game type and have lost many games soloing when I have had a 4v1 battle over the camo.
That being said if the whole team focuses on the camo (ignore hydra its a noob weapon and can be countered.) then you have an interesting “victory point” to fight over.
The point itself is in sight of the DMR spawn. if somebody flat out rushes it every time its an easy kill.
Guess what I’m trying to say is that if everyone on the team realizes how powerful it is its fine. If ignored by one team then yes they will lose every time.
I’m against it not so much due to feeling overpowered but due to it limiting the plays that you can run at the start of the round.

Br’s spawn on both sides, most of the weapon spawns e.g. beginning frags, AR’s and etc. are symmetrical, in a sense, at the start and obviously the stronger stuff is in the middle with only one iteration.
You need that camo there because if not, that map would be a camp fest. No incentive to move from your base. Having that camo on the map forces you to move from the base and fight for the power up on the map.
