Remote Control Sentinal Enforcer

Some maps have vehicles on them, each team gets one. What if, on one map, each team got a Sentinel Enforcer to control? It would change up standard vehicular gameplay because you would have to protect your team mate who is controlling it. He can’t defend his Spartan while controlling.

I would be interested in seeing the new strategies developed for a map like this.

I thought some maps already had sentry turrets or something like that. Also, while the idea is unique, I really don’t see it being advantageous other than being able to pester the opposing team.

Already have the Auto Sentry AA, which is similiar but automated, Sentinel Enforcers are AI’s having someone control one isnt very realistic. I would honestly hate to see anything like this included in Halo, but thats just me, theres already plenty of different tactics, strategies, I myself wouldnt bother defending someone camping in a corner with a remote control.

  1. We don’t even know if Sentinel enforcers are even in the game.

  2. They shouldn’t be controllable. Why? Because I seriously doubt the forerunners would really allow their devices to be so easily manipulated. Not to mention that sentinels are self-sentient, a remote controlled variety makes no sense.

That’s like saying your not going to protect your tank driver.

You might change your mind after being decimated by two Enforcers at once.

The problem with that is that unlike with every other vehicle, killing that remote controlled Enforcer wouldn’t count as a kill. It’s essentially a risk-free way to get kills.

Also, remember the crushing claws on the bottom of the Enforcer? Is it really a good idea to give people a way to kill vehicles without putting themselves at risk?

That would be absolutely amazing for Custom Games and Forge. I really hope Enforcers are in Halo 4!

The operator wouldn’t die if the Enforcer was destroyed but the trade off is that you can just walk right up to the operator while he is operating and backsmack him without him even realizing you were approaching.

You have to rely on your team to make sure you don’t get backsmacked while operating.
