Honestly I don’t care if it’s a remix of Torque in memories of Reach. Do you know why?
Because I have not played any remix that plays like it’s original. Think about it, are any of the remixes really that similar? They have new rooms, different routes, different weapons, different lighting, different power positions, different atmosphere, different everything. They only have minor things that tie them together. Typically lore reasons

You’re talking way too much sense for these forums.
Its kinda pathetic seeing all of the posts about remixes - no one ever gives any actual reasons for their complaints, its just become a meme at this stage basically. As you say, none of the remixes play even remotely the same, and I for one find it interesting to have two different ‘takes’ on one theme - it adds some coherence to the set of maps, rather than it just being a random collection. Would really like to see the rig remix that has been rumoured. I really hope they release it before they release a so-called “new” map, just to see all the tears on here.

they still kinda play like crap though. hopefully this one will be different i just feel like using remixes is the lazy way because remixes imply that they reuse things from the previous map and dont make a completely new one…oh wait thats what they are lol i want new maps not remixes

You want a reason? I’ll give you one.
look at every other halo game, even old gen consoles, they had way more maps, way more variety, it was actually fun to explore and see new areas, new environments, new places, who cares if it plays a tad bit different, Eden and empire are identical,
I can’t even remember which one is which.
Once you’ve seen half the maps in halo 5, you’ve seen them all. Is that what you want in halo? I hated halo 4 but at least that game had a nice variety in maps. Halo CE, and 2
both had more maps and MUCH more variety, but nope, we get the same map with a different skybox and snow
One of the biggest problems with remixes is that there are no great or even good maps in the game. If there was an amazing map, I probably wouldn’t mind playing a different variation of it. BTW there are way more similarities in the remixes than you let on. It is very noticeable when I am playing on a remixed map.

If you’re playing multiplayer to explore the maps after the first few games then congratulations on your unending sense of wonder. But most people stop exploring a map after the 3rd time on it.
But if your argument is that their isn’t enough variety then you aren’t playing enough game modes. Their may be 8-10 arena maps but theirs 10 breakout maps, and 10 btb maps and 5 warzone maps. Don’t forget that weapons change each gamemode you play.

I like the remixes too. They’ve done a great job at making them feel different every time.

Haha seems like a stretch but it wouldn’t surprise me

Yeah, when I thought of memories of reach warzone on spire came to me or the falcon or forge world
I’ve asked why people hate remixes before, and the answers boiled down to “It’s lazy.” I pointed out that remixed maps play differently from their original, so the fact that “it’s lazy” didn’t matter. Again, the answers boiled down, that time into “Nu-uh!”

I have to agree with this. Although completely new maps are nice, i quite enjoy remixes.
