Remembering what made Halo unique

Remember when Bungie and Microsoft were together and they made every master chief game better than the last one? Halo CE really did evolve videogames and how we play them. Like the recent documentary says, they didn’t think Halo would make it. Yet it did. Old inventions kind of worked the same way. The person would tell the people the idea and they would think that person is crazy and it will never work. This happened with many great things from the past. Halo is one of those great things. The game that shed light on FPS genre for consoles. Halo was what was many peoples’ childhood. What made Halo so unique? How did it change all the gaming we have today? And as many games start evolving and start competing with Halo, how can Halo flight back yet still keep the classic Halo gameplay we have loved for over a decade? I really do want this game to be living and breathing like it was before and I also want it to be something for the coming generations to enjoy and have the same feelings we had about the game. Looking at the gameplay of Halo 5: Guardians, it doesn’t look like the same game that people will be enjoying like they did with Halo 2&3. Halo needs it’s old feeling back of being a game for fun in ways for both the casual gamer and the competitive gamer. One thing that made Halo so much fun was the vehicles. But I’ve not seen a single vehicle in the Halo 5: Guardians gameplay. I know that the beta only has arena maps but not even images of any big maps or vehicles. I definitely don’t want Halo to be like call of duty and it’s kind of going that direction. I’ve talked about things like this before and people have told me that the fans is today won’t enjoy the same thing that was enjoying to others from ten years ago. Yes but what about making a game that has both the great things from the past games and things added to make it good for the coming generation? I’m saying, make Halo feel like Halo again but with a modern twist to it. 343i didn’t completely screw up. In many ways they did good. But building a game off of what everyone loved would be better than building a game off of what only a fraction of the people liked. To me, the up when they decided to work off of Reach. Not many people liked that game. Everyone loved Halo 3 though. They made Halo 4 off of reach and made Halo 2: Anniversary off of 4 and will be going on from that. If only they built off of Halo 3, many people would be happier. Reach and 3 are almost completely different games because Reach was made fun scratch. Halo 3 was built off of 2 of course. I’m taking up a lot of a reader’s time now. I’ll p post more later maybe. Go ahead and give me your two cents too!

Do not worry the part where you freaked out about the vehicles it’s only arena maps in the beta, I’m SURE there will be vehicles in the actual game

The game is an arena shooter, it’s pretty much throwing both reach and 4 to the wind and adding on top of the old trilogy.

There will be, more than likely, more gametypes in the future. 343 is just working on the arena fundamentals for the beta. So no need to worry yet.

OP calm down you aren’t the first person to make a thread discussing their fear over halo losing btb or vehicles the beta is focused on the more traditional 4v4 arena gameplay 343 has been sure to state this. Surely we will see more of halo 5’s gametypes in the coming future.
