Today marks the day that, in 2552, Noble Six gave his life defending Reach. Staying behind so the Pillar of Autumn could escape the Covenant.

Had Noble Six joined the crew of the Pillar of Autumn, how do you think he would have influenced the other Halo games? Most notably Halo: Combat Evolved?

Definitely, maybe Halo CE would be like Halo 2 where you play as Noble-six and Master Chief or he would just be apart of the story. I wouldn’t care though I would just be happy that he was there.

Chief and 6 working together would’ve been pretty awesome.
CE’s story would’ve advanced faster.

Well it would’ve been a pretty short story as no-one could shoot down the covenant cruiser and the Autumn would’ve been glassed. But in all seriousness, I think he would’ve done spec-ops stuff like chief did and maybe assigned to guard Keyes when they went to the “weapons cache”. This could mean either:

  • Keyes and the marines are able to fight out of the flood facility with Noble 6’s help and then link up with Chief / Alpha base. From here either Guilty Spark contacts the UNSC on the ring again (after that Sargent [forget his name but is mentioned in the book The Flood] dies in the library and Spark has to find another reclaimer) and they decide to blow it all up or they get the index and almost activate the ring and then stop when Cortana figures out what Halo actually does. - Noble 6 dies with all the marines somehow, keyes is infected, etc. - Noble 6 evacuates but Keyes is still lost. 6 then contacts Alpha base or Cortana and helps destroy the ring or defend Alpha base. From here its a 50/50 whether he gets lucky and finds a pelican like Johnson and the marines did to escape The Maw explosion. - If he made it to Earth, he’d likely be returned to ONI to return to high level assasinations or spec-ops, he’d not be put with Chief as hes a Spartan III and is seen as more expendable whereas Chief and Blue team were more valuable.

Six belongs to Reach. His body, his armor.

Six was my favorite character in all of the halo games. So sad he died.
