I remember right when each DLC pack came out they were pretty easy to come by in matchmaking, but as time went by they became few and far between. I’m not sure what happened, but im sure it is a combination of people not buying the map packs, and the influx of new players that havent bought them either. Combine that with the players that do have the map packs, and it just takes one player in the group that doesnt have the DLC to negate the maps from showing up as a selection for that group/game.
Thank god I’m not the only person that thinks this, I cannot stand playing Countdown and Swordbase OVER AND OVER again. I can’t believe these maps are so far and few.
I must be one of the lucky ones, I suppose. I managed to get a game of Invasion: Breakpoint earlier today!
Depends on the playlist maybe 3 a night .
If a friend asked me if they should get all the DLC maps – tomorrow I would say don’t waste money on maps you will likely play 3 times a night .
Literally all I seem to be able to play on is Asylum and Countdown, over and over again. I like Countdown… But I don’t like it that much.
I miss map variety! And the DLC issue is so damn annoying. I bought Halo: Anniversary after the update, and was so excited to play me some BTB Ridgeline! Guess it was never meant to be…
I’m surprised that 343 haven’t just made the older DLC pack free like what Bungie did with the Rats Nest map pack in H3 (can’t remember the name of the pack).
I am disappointed though, paying money for maps that never ever turn up. And you know what’s even more disappointing? When a map like Headlong actually appears in the vote and people VETO IT.

The Heroic Map Pack didn’t have achievements linked to it, all three Reach DLCs do.
Could you imagine actually playing on the maps we paid for? Man, that would be like a dream.
I think its just laziness on 343s side to not having a dedicated playlist for DLC. Bungie always did, why stop now?
I find it funny how 343 always talks about how they listen to the community, yet we can’t even use the DLC for a game they run. Sad really…
i also remember the days of being able to play my dlc in their own playlist, but then again i also remember when i played the reach beta before they changed everything… then i remember when the game came out before they modified every map to please the whiners then i remember when they made some good playlist changes like adding a dlc playlist, griffball, and awesome forge maps to big team, then i remember when they destroyed the game and took away everything that was really fun about reach… and now here we are , complaining about it all…

I’ve seen a lot of DLC lately, LD had options for downlink 3 times in 2 days and 2 anchor 9 in 2 days.
Sadly I do… I miss the DLC very^343 much.

You see a lot more DLC in 4 vs 4 matches like team slayer, but it’s very rare in BTB.
oh they show up sometimes in regular playlists …
