Simple question to those who were able to string together multiple games. In the original H2 you could party up with those who were on your team after a match completed, then take that team to the next match with a fresh set of competitors. Is that feature still here? I haven’t seen it, my games have quit to the menu. It was one of my favorite things about Halo 2 and in my eyes helped make it the best multiplayer experience in console history.

they forgot how to reuse the “good” features, so new feature is half of the previous experience.
Haha. No.
Nope it is not. I feel like the new Menus with Xbox and MCC are less social. Before it was extremely weasy to go into your friends list and find customs with recent players or invite players or make Clans and invite people into them and now it is a wholoe lot harder.
Another thing missing that I loved: The clan feature. It was fun jumping from clan to clan and making friends and having clan wars. I kniow they have clan tags buit it isn’t the same at all
“Halo 2 will play just as it did 10 years ago”-343
lolWhat a load of BS
No they adopted the COD system you now are just strung along with who ever you are playing with if you don’t quit after the game. Making the MM experience kinda dull and it sucks when you do party up and after the game you are split up into different teams.

Is cod live in mcc? Halo is kill?
That was a cool feature.
Thanks for all the quick replies. I have entirely lost faith in gaming. My gut told me that the talk about it being exactly like Halo 2 would somehow exclude the matchmaking.
I am utterly disgusted and there’s zero hope of features like this being “fixed”. I hated the here’s-your-lobby-now-keep-playing-these-guys games. I’ve been telling people for years Halo 2 started and perfected FPS console matchmaking. I’ve waited 10 years to get back to that standard and all the industry has done is drift down stream.
I feel like the party system is broken now but will be better through patches. I mean, it doesn’t make sense that you can’t have a solid party with your friends in which you move through the mm without constantly being disbanded. And to someone’s post above, clans were such a great feature, epic battles.
I 100% agree and get exactly what you mean. The original Xbox had no built in friends system so it was up to Bungie to make their own and they did a fantastic Job. The 360 did well at implementing a console standard and it worked but I still felt it was not as good as Halo 2’s. With the xbox one it is such a hassle to use the friends list and even party system that it practically promotes playing in solitude.

I miss clans too, and there was so much potential to grow the feature, yet it was ignored by Halo 3.
I wonder though if system wide chat is looked at as diminishing to a single game’s party system. For instance, if you played Halo 2 on Xbox Live when it was new, 90% of those playing were talking. Now people are in Xbox Live party chats while teammates ate left in the cold.
Press X to party up. I remember everyone “Party uuup” at the end of a matchmaking game. Awesome times. It’s not like it used to be sadly but we can still have partys its alright.

no, it’s unacceptable.
