Does anybody remember the old waypoint app on the 360? Achieving certain ranks through achievements would unlock in game items like armor and emblems i think. I think they should bring this back for halo 6, to incentivize players from buying and playing the older titles, and to reward the people who have been playing from the beginning. What do you think?
it was pretty good though the armor unlocking came later with reach. I liked to check the stats there and also you got some avatar awards from there and in the beginning you saw all of your achieved milestones and not only the one that you are currently ranked as.
i guess i could still use it if its done right. It got a bit worse after some updates.

I would love to see the old waypoint return, I remember when I first came on to the new one I was pretty mad that I could no longer view my rank and see all of the community videos. Sure the forums are cool, but it’s not the same.
If the Halo Channel app tells us anything, it’s that 343 struggles with making stable Xbox One apps.
I would love the waypoint career milestone to be implemented on this version of waypoint. The badges look cool.

Old waypoint app for the 360 was great. Got to see community vids, catch up on some red vs blue episodes (granted they were censored out the wazoo) I kind of want fun caption Fridays to return like in the days of Reach and 4. It was the little interactions that help make the community big.
I think they should update the Halo Channel app to include the past Waypoint features. We should be able to see stats, community clips/maps, Weekly Updates/Canon Fodder, etc. That way people would actually use the app… more so than they do now at least. Does anyone actually use that app? Besides for cinematics and terminals that is.

I completely Agree. There is so much potential there that 343 just hasn’t tapped into yet.

Yep. Those all helped shape the community.
Yeah I remember that, which is why I got confused when people were directing me to Halo Waypoint to discuss MCC.
I would enjoy it because waypoint made it personalized to each player
