Halo is still going to be halo.Just because its got a lot of new things in it that can probably be changed DOES NOT MEAN ITS RUINED! If your so afraid of change then halo 3 is still waiting for you as it always has been.I think a key factor in all these arguments and complaints is the completely ludicrous topic of competitive vs casual fan base.Seriously where did all this go wrong?I remember when halo was just halo…Or games in general for that matter…But really why are we dividing the community when it doesnt need to be?This is a game thats meant to be played for fun and tell a story but yet we make it into something its not…Kills,KD ratio,Points,Win loss ratio, and BR/sniper “SkIlLz” is that seriously all that matters to people anymore? Is this what Halo has become where we have to choose a side? Halo 3 or Halo Reach,BR or DMR,Competitive or Casual. In all its entirety its ridiculous and pointless.I dont expect change but it would be nice to see a shift in attitude and tolerance but there just arent enough who care and to many people who justify shenanigans with “oh if these people are doing it I suppose I will!” I dont know…perhaps im being the very thing im speaking of I just desired to leave my opinion and hope all others will to.
The reason why the competitive vs casual argument has emerged recently is because in the past games were generally harder to play and didn’t hold the players’ hand, thus building a skill gap, thus making it more competitive.
I think everyone knows it’s just a game, well, I would hope so anyways. It just comes down to what people want in a game, and how seriously they take their games. I’m sure we all know people who barely care about games, and some who care way too much about games. I get what you are saying, but no matter what you say, it’s not going to change the way people feel or what how they treat games.
Whoa whoa whoa slow down there cowboy. There are people who wrap their entire experience around multiplayer and others around campaign, while other players like myself just enjoy playing a bit of everything and simply love the fact that another Halo is coming. Some people will hate it, but hey has there ever been ANY game people absolutely despise?
My point is, let you enjoy the game the way you want.
I’m not trying to be mean, but it is easier to read a paragraph when you double-space after a period.
Some people make it into a life style. Some of those people, make money off of it.
The others? Well, they just remain wannabe MLG pros for the rest of their life, living off of spicy cheetos and mountain dew, wishing they could have went pro.
The latter can burn in hell for all I care. All they ever really do is complain about the game and make it hard to enjoy playing. Can’t tell you how many times I had some mlg wannabe screaming into the mic telling us how bad we were because we couldn’t 4 shot every single person.
The less of those people, the better.
edit: what the hell am I even talking about?
Did…You…Just…Call…Halo…JUST A GAME???
This is all…a game? Out of all things Meme Morpheus couldve told me. He keeps this one secret?!
Remember: It’s=it is.
Halo isn’t a game… it’s a religion.
Just a game?!
Tell that to the Prometheans.

BLASPHEMY! Halo is not just a game!
> I’m not trying to be mean, but it is easier to read a paragraph when you double-space after a period.
I think there should be a stickie/rule where it’s required to space out your sentences. Seriously.
Communities change just as much as games do over time. And really not trying to sound rude But this argument and these types of threads are making me want to beat my brain out. It might be a game to you and you can have fun regardless. Good for you, no really. But to others people who play competitivly people who do it as a job (youtube MLG ETC) care for the game on a much deeper level. Their opinion matters just as much as yours.
Halo isn’t just a game, its a way of life.
Its a game, yes. But it should be a good game.
Lets say we change something. Good change? Great! Bad change? No! If you think that even if there are bad changes, its still “A GAME”, and its ok, how about this?
Remove your genitals, that must be perfectly ok.
Sure. It’s just a game.
A good game.
> Halo isn’t just a game, its a way of life.
That’s right. and it changes your life
> Halo isn’t just a game, its a way of life.
Whoa, and I thought I am an a extreme fanboy!
No
Call of Duty is just a game
Halo is something beyond a game… Halo 4 is a game…Halo Reach is a game…
But they are just part of an entire work that have been capturing our imagination for more than 10 years and changed the lives of many.
