Remember guys

This animation trailer could just be a concept on what is too come remember the Halo3 announcement trailer with chief walking up to the great portal well nothing was really close to it in the finished verision so don’t expect to much from this trailer.

I see so much speculation on you tube so i have to say this.
feel free to discuss.

The cinematic before floodgate is close to the h3 trailer, mostly what’s in his background changed and arbiter was added.

Obviously it wont be 100% what’s in the game, but usually the key event of the trailer has been.

Not in this case. 343 said explicitly that what we are seeing is more of an art-house piece, delivering a particular style and feel but WITHOUT setting any precedents for content (hence why it was originally titled “Halo: Xbox One”, its simply a demonstration that Halo will definitely have a next-gen presence without announcing any particular games.)

Though we may get a solo, battle scarred chief making his way across a desolate universe, we are in all likelihood not going to have to fight any giant robot birds (though hopefully the space poncho will make a strong showing.)

Don’t you guys remember the E3 2012 teaser for Halo 4? It totally was not canon, the first mission of Halo 4’s campaign completely overwrote it.

I’m not expecting this one to be canon either.

Frankie already confirmed that Chief and his cloak is canonical.

It would be, honestly, kind of dumb to throw in a massive Promethean Seeker/Hawk thing and have it mean absolutely nothing. Or throw in all the connections to the Ark and have it mean absolutely nothing.

While yeah, the past announcement trailers haven’t been actual cutscenes in the games, their content hasn’t been horribly off. The Halo 3 Trailer was quite close, Covenant ships around an unearthed structure, and it activates. Chief, the Covenant ships, the environment, the Portal, all appeared in the game. Even the Cortana moment effect.
The Halo 4 trailer is a little more off, but again stil has the concept. Chief wakes from cryo, and the Dawn is under attack and kind of exploding later on, when you first get outside, you clearly see this massive Forerunner planet structure.

While taking everything there as canonical fact exactly as it is is wrong, completely dismissing everything is wrong too.

Most of it was pretty close maybe they had a finished build of it and made it like into a animation set you never know.

Yay!

Speaking of the Halo 5 trailer, yeah, the cloak didn’t make too much sense I suppose but I’m willing suspend my sense of disbelief because it looks cool.

remember the great gameplay trailer for halo2 10 years ago. not one part of that made it into the final game.

honestly tho why did they even show Halo One at E3, like we dont know its going to be made.since halo is the only reason to buy an xbox in the first place and its only halfway through being milked to death.

Popular franchises get milked, it’s a fact of life. A very sad fact of life.
