Rematch option - can it work?

Sometimes I experience truly great matches. The competition is balanced and everyone in the team is working with the team. For us going lone wolf and no mic those precious moments is of great value (I don´t use a mic because swedish is my native language and I suck talking english when I am in the mental game mode).

Maybe it is a silly dream but it would be great if the option to do a rematch existed (Press “A” to play again). Would you vote for that if, for example, you have just experienced a CTF Skirmish and it ended 3-2 with the last flag cature done the last 10 seconds? And your team played well and understood the concept of CTF? It happens, and when it happens, it would be so great to do it again with the same people. The chances 16 people vote yes is probably small, but it can happen and if the option existed, maybe after some time people started use it instead of always searching for new MM with very mixed results. And maybe not everyone of the 16 would have to say yes to make this work? If say 12 people stayed it would take no time finding 4 extra and with some luck, that game is also balanced.

If players don’t back out after a game ends, you’ll be put in a pre-game lobby with the exact same players again.

Yes, that I know. I am only saying that if a direct question were there on the screen a second after the match maybe more people would choose to stay. “Press A for rematch…You can do it” or “Press A for beating this sorry bunch of loosers again”, or something.

After a tight and balanced match (those precious few) maybe some PR for a rematch would actually make people stay. If I loose with a small margin I want a rematch so bad…

Seems like a pointless UI addition if I’m being honest when players can simply just stay in, regardless.

Not in Doubles. It automatically backs both parties out and begins searching right away with just my partner and I.
