Well it seems Frankie was trolling and the Restuarant has little to no significance, i know have reason to believe the remake map is Valhalla, with strong evidence seeing as a screenshot from gameplay at i believe is EuroGamer, clearly Resembles Valhalla.

Gotta say i’m sad it’s not Sandtrap, my hopes for mammoths in Multiplayer/Forge/Custom Games, are slipping away but Valhalla was probably my Favourite BTB map in Halo 3, it just pisses me off that Frankie said it wouldn’t be a blood gulch remake, so they remade the map closest to it.

Can’t post the screenshots due to it being leaked content, i don’t know if i’m even allowed to talk about it.

First off, sorry if there are many topics on this already, but upon the suggestion of IEPIC IMURPH i’m going to put my theory in my own thread.

First off, Frankie went to a Restaurant and hinted that it has somehting to do with the remake map.
The RESTAURANT is the hint. He later says, it has nothing to do with mexico, however, if we go inside the restaurant using google street view, we can see there is a painting on the wall next to one of the tables, this is the painting as you can see it clearly resembles Sandtrap, i can’t post a direct link to the street view, but if you don’t believe that the image is in the restaurant look for yourself.

Perhaps Frankie sat down and used this painting as inspiration as it probably reminded him of Sandtrap, others are speculating Longshore or terminal, because it’s close to a dock or because it’s close to a train station, you’re getting it wrong, the clue is the RESTAURANT ITSELF, not the area, i highly doubt Frankie sat down planning the area of the restaurant just to confuse us, then again this is just speculation, but this is probably the most solid speculation we have.

What a clever clue. Having to use google maps street view :stuck_out_tongue: Plus, with the incentive to involve the new Mammoths, it looks like Sandtrap is a strong contender!

It’s a good theory but part of me believes that picture/painting is based in Mexico and since Frankie said it has nothing to do with Mexico I think that the picture/painting could just be a coincidence.

I still believe since the restaurant is next to a train track that it’s terminal!

yeah i have seen a lot of people saying something along those lines, mostly saying it was never a 360 map

Frankie stated during the making of the anniversery maps that it would be redundant to have a map thats already playable on the 360 however that was then and this is now.

A lot people quote people as saying it would be a BTB map, but he never said that he said “its not small”, people should stop misquoting people to fit there own wants or desires seriously.

ive just never heard the “played on the 360 bit”. ive heard everything else though.

One of the 343 guys posted on NeoGAF that the map, whatever it is, has to be fixed so that players can’t jetpack and thruster pack into the bases through ways that weren’t meant to be entry points. Whatever it is, it’s something with bases. I say it’s not Relic or Sandtrap.

It’s deffinatly there I saw it myself by doing the same thing as him.

That is a picture of the pyramids in Oaxaca, which is in Mexico. I was posting these pictures last night and saying the same thing, until Frankie claimed that the clue has nothing to do with Mexico. If he’s being genuine, then it really doesn’t make sense for it to be Sandtrap.

Oh, and no one ever said that Halo 4 wouldn’t have any maps playable on 360. When Frankie said that he was talking only about Anniversary. Someone just got their facts twisted and since then the “rumor” infected these forums like a plague.

It’s not confirmed but it’s most likely not going to be a Halo 3 map since we can go in and play Halo 3 without any problems.
