Ivory Tower is an iconic map. But when I went back and played it in Halo 2, it played horribly.
2 Snipers in the balcony? Why? The top area is extremely hard to break when there’s a full team up there with both snipers and clear sight lines on the courtyard and all 3 flanks (the hallways and lift). And if they get a sword up there? Boy you’re in for a beating even if your team has rockets.
I see this map working much better in Halo 5. Being able to take a much more direct path to the top by clambering up the sniper balcony would be so much better. Also, remove the palm trees by the balcony to remove clutter and allow for some awesome ground pounds. Make the top hallways shorter, there’s no need to have them so long and narrow with no cover. Remove the elevator and replace it with a grav lift that’s placed against the back wall. The elevator just takes way too long and you’re completely exposed from every angle. When you finally get to the top, you’re not even getting the full view of the top area. You just show up like “Hey I’m here! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!”.
To summarize, this map’s top area just needs to be more accessible and less campy.

Thanks I thought so too
Check out user XxBarthxX. He has remade a few Halo 2 maps in H2A Forge including Ivory Tower. It’s in his file share.
Ivory Tower never played well. It’s not a good map.
No offense to you but im not a big fan of ivory tower or even midship. Both are too crammed in my opinion. However I do respect your preference.
One of my top 5 maps of all time.
Don’t worry, you can always play Reflection on Reach.

AnonFriction and I almost have this map finished and ready to play test tomorrow so add us and download the latest version and we can test it
I’m Sick of Remakes. But did love Ivory Tower. Why can’t 343 design their own maps from ground up?? Copying Midship is getting old. It’s a great map yes but Bungie Made it. If you were Bungie and your friend was 343. Your friend came up to you and said hey look at my map I call it Truth. Your like wtf this is my map I should smack you.

Do it yourself thats why forge is there. Im a forger and im disgusted your asking one of us to do it for you. Better yet if you do it yourself it can be to your liking
One of my favorite maps from halo 2 that everyone always voted against. or wait, was there voting in 2? I forget, been so long since I last played anything 3 or earlier. Maybe that was just the Reach remake. Anyway, I loved swords only, no radar, no shield matches on that map. Fun times. there are a lot of maps that I would like to see make a return though. Death Island being the main one from Halo 1, which never made a return again. Loved that one for CTF and stunting/screwing around.
