Halo 4 obviously should have fresh maps. But without a doubt, it will have remakes as well. Perhaps 3 to 5.
My choices are:
Halo 1: Blood Gulch, Sidewinder
I’d also like to see Wizard/Warlock and Hang 'em High, but they are very easy to forge, and thus no point in wasting development time making them.
Halo 2: Ascension, Beaver/Battle Creek, Ivory Tower, Waterworks
I didn’t include Lockout because it can be forged so easily (especially with the pieces in Halo: Reach). Sanctuary is also quite easy to forge.
Halo 3: Construct, Guardian, Heretic/Midship, Narrows, Sandtrap, Valhalla
The Pit is a good map, but can easily be forged. If Valhalla returns, we obviously don’t need to see Blood Gulch, and vice versa.
Halo: Reach: Highlands, Tempest
Nothing else that was really that great from Halo: Reach. Maybe Breakpoint?
If you had to pick 5 from this list, which ones should return? What other maps would you like to return to Halo 4?
There should be a lot more fresh and new Halo 4 maps then remake maps. Sometimes remakes can be not as fun as they once were because they play differently and it tends to disappoint some of the fan base.
However my general opinion is the more content the better
We’d obviously have to take into consideration on how Halo 4 will be played. But if I’d have to choose, I would like Last Resort to make an appearance.
I am against remade maps (Considering there is Forge), but there are a few exceptions when the only colors are grey and green.
Midship is difficult to forge because of its curved surfaces. Construct is hard, but I suppose so. Personally, I think Narrows deserves a fully-fledged remake. And for, Guardian, it is hard to get its proportions correct because of the way its shaped, but maybe with enough dedication it can be forged.
This is what I want:
Halo CE: Prisoner, Infinity, Damnation, Rat Race, Death Island
Halo 2: Terminal, Waterworks, Midship, Uplift, Turf
Halo 3: Construct, Rat Race, Sandtrap, Valhalla, Narrows, Orbital, Longshore
Halo: Reach: Sword Base, Breakpoint, Highlands
I know nobody cares about my opinion, but I hope at least one of these is remade.
