Remade maps into warzone!

They brought haven to halo 5. I think it would be really cool to see a old map remastered into a warzone map. Blood gulch? Spire? Boneyard?.. Oh I could on and on.

What maps would everyone like to see?

I don’t think they would necessarily be remakes. I think it would work better if they were inspired by old maps, as the older maps weren’t designed to support the way Warzone works.

I mean of course. But having a map like avalanche with the two bases being the cliffs and then the middle as a monument/spire. Obviously bigger and more objects on the map

I like it. Could also encourage a different design of bases/armories/garages.

As much as I hate to say it, but a blood gulch inspired map would be ruined by nornfangs and snipers in general. Which is a shame because I like blood gulch. Other maps would also be plagued by the same issues such as a spire themed map (which again, is one of my favourite maps ever).

You had me at Spire. I’m sold lol.

They (Spire and Boneyard) would be pretty close to a warzone assault map. Bu yes they would beed work rather then direct remakes.

Because of how open they are. Blood gulch is just 2 bases in the middle of a box canyon with nothing but some hills in between. If a team were to control the spire, then that team could just camp up top with snipers, dominating the match instantly

Vortex from Halo 4. That map played so well in big team battle as well as Spartan ops. In fact it was one of the highlights when it was featured in Spartans ops and you had to use a warthog with A.I Spartan IV’s to take out plasma artillery
It has the right size, with lots of sightlines as well as well plenty of cover. I think it had man cannons, teleporters and shielded door ways.
The big apex in the middle of Vortex can serve as a central base, and the smaller apexs which featured their own gravity lifts can function in the same well as the armouries or mini- garages.
Red and blue had their own bases and 343 could expand them into actual home bases. Or they could create a forerunner home base this time and ground vehicles are just teleported in just like air vehicles. There were definitely big circular pads in that map, and they could just have the ground vehicles spawned there, however they would have to fix the problem of them being out in the open and camped by highjackers. Or just have all vehicles spawned from home base like Raid on Apex 7.
Plenty of open space for ground and air vehicles as well as room for cover. You could have the warden eternal or other big bosses spawn on the ground below the bigger apex structure.
After writing all this, I’m actually sold on the idea that Vortex from Halo 4 is a viable warzone map and 343 could easily copy and paste it into Halo 5, where they can just add in req stations, ai bosses, enlarge the map a bit, and convert the red and blue bases into actual home bases.

The more I think about it, the BTB maps in Halo 4 were so well done that they well used for Spartan ops, and these maps could work in warzone firefight as they’ve already been tested in Spartan ops.
For Halo CE- Reach the only map I can actually see as being suited for warzone and warzone firefight is Waterworks from Halo 2.
Spire is really just all about the Spire, and once a team has it they win, and there’s not really any other ‘base’. I don’t see it happening for warzone or warzone firefight, but since it played well foe invasion it would be great for warzone assault, they just need to add a home base.
Boneyard I’m more overly concerned about the base capture points as well as where to put A.I bosses and where to place two home bases. The contested bases would actually have to be contested fields similar to strongholds instead of owning an entire building.
The home bases could be placed to the sides just like Noctus, and vehicles would have to spawn in the home base. Boneyard could work for all warzone types.

Oh right, but they wouldn’t be direct ports, they would need some editing, with the addition of some cover, a central control point, home bases, etc. But to be fair, you basically described Battle of Noctus.

I reckon Infinity from Halo PC would make a good warzone map

Oh man I can just imagine blood gulch as a WZ map it’d be the best WZ map created and for the spire they could put the H:CE spire in you know that one in the mission halo (2nd mission) where you find a group of marines and Sargent Johnson. And the guy who said it’d be snipers everywhere it probably won’t be just a few will have snipers.

Spire from Halo Reach would be really fun for Warzone Firefight.

On battle of noctus I usually run around with my H2br and just kill anyone who is trying to cap our bases. Ok sometimes I’ll use a H2 beam rifle alpha and get a few kills I like noctus it’s a good map
