Opinion: Relying on challenges to progress through the Battle Pass as heavily as Infinite does, is inherently bad.
Why? Because this means that you’re forcing your player base to play the game a certain way. Stuck with PvP challenges but don’t like diving into sweaty PvP matches? Too bad! You will NOT progress unless you do these things that you hate!
This has honestly been a problem since Reach and I have always said that this is bad. I’m so frustrated and dumbstruck that 343 chooses to go down this road.

100% agree. It’s amazing that Call of Duty 4, released 14 years ago now, perfected the progression system that a shooter should have (assuming they need one). Yet we still have devs doing awful things like challenge only progression, there is no way it’s not intentional.

Yeah, and most games have free base items, like a lvl requirement for unlocking base camos who are free and not tied to the battle pass, like in many games, they include base stuff directly in the game.
It really does keep winning a low priority for some players and thats definitely not a good thing.
