Relief & Recovery REQ Pack

What are your thoughts on the Relief & Recovery REQ Pack? I bought one today and feel it’s a smart move for 343i to make and that their should be more things like this, especially when it comes to things such as micro-transactions. I think if more gaming companies took this approach it would definitely make a difference in the world and a good impression on the industry.

Its actually an good idea. But it should stay something “special” as otherwise people would get used to it and wouldnt buy it anymore.

I like the idea. My only suggestion is that there would be something special about it. For example being that this is to help Hurricane victims then maybe have a hurricane emblem or have the state or area affected as an emblem. Having Texas or Florida as an emblem would be interesting. If that doesn’t work then maybe something like a grunt cheering in the background when you buy it. Just an idea or two. Good topic for sure.

Good idea. Especially since 100% of it goes to the charity.

Same as my thoughts and feelings on all REQ packs…i think they’re just dumb micro transaction pits that have no place in gaming, least of all in Halo. A supposedly “proud” franchise and community. But that’s just me giving my opinion and whining a bit.
On the other hand, for the fact that they’re here and here to stay. Guess it’s an okay pack.
I honestly just don’t know tho. I REFUSE to spend real world money on Packs but, from what I’ve seen they look pretty cool. Better than Platinum packs for sure!

What a great idea! It would be nice to show our support that way!

Thank you for your POV, I can understand were you’re are coming from. No one wished the day that Halo would introduce micro-transactions.

I agree with you to an extent because I don’t like spending my money on these types of things, but this REQ Pack is an exception to that as I know my money will go straight to those in need.

That would be nice.

I decided to buy a pack in support of family that I have that got hit by Maria. I already have everything unlocked, but it was for them. We had already spent a fair bit of money that day (two power generators, costs more than a shiny penny), but for family, there’s never a limit. I don’t even care about not getting anything special in return. This was for mi familia.

At least the microtransaction money is going somewhere good with those.

I don’t mind it. I think it is a good idea at least they are helping

Makes you feel better and accomplished knowing that those effecting are getting the support they need. No regretting a micro-transaction quite like that.
