Release in December - Last moment before holidays

Per the heading.

The fact they did not have the release date as 15 Nov. Or in November like all other Halo games except Halo 5. Implies an act of desperation for more time to develop the game.

This undoubtedly adds fuel to the fire that at the least, the campaign is being ‘rushed’ to the finish line. And this is not good.

We all know the ramifications of a rushed product. This game needs another delay. If it did not it would have had a release in November or even earlier like October.

Here’s an article that backs up my suspicions:

Also 8 December release will mean the delay in total was 13 months. More then a year delay. And no new campaign gameplay since July last year. They are hiding the campaign because they have something to hide… Like it is in a poor state of repair and bad quality.

The only thing we can go off of now is the dev update they released a week back in which they explained to us that Co-op and Forge was not up to standard. That means the single player campaign and multiplayer are or are supposed to be.
As they go on they talk about being in “shutdown” mode which is only working out the bugs and going by everything frame to frame on all devices.

Beside this we can only speculate about what’s going on there. Let’s not jump to conclusions just yet although I share your sentiment.

Please don’t reference PC Gamer. They lost any credibility a long time ago in my opinion. The fact that they are not delaying it for co-op tells me that everything besides that and Forge will be good to go. Giving them an addition month doesn’t really indicate that it will be a rough stretch at all. It just means they want more time and not to release with BF and CoD. It may workout best being so close to Christmas.

See, I’m the complete opposite. The fact that they are delaying co-op, rumors of an overhaul, not releasing until December, and holding back on showing campaign gameplay tells me they can’t spare the manpower/time to focus on co-op before launch and it’s all hands on deck just to make sure campaign is good to go.

I genuinely hope I’m wrong about that and everything is fine. More than anything I want campaign to be a hit. But that’s definitely my gut reaction when I look at all the pieces.

I don’t think it will work out. People will be busy playing those big titles when by the time it releases. They will beat Halo: Infinite to the punch so to speak. And it may drastically impact player population for Halo: Infinite MP and sales of the campaign.

Plus the campaign pricing is very steep and it will not have coop. Not a very attractive purchase.

Or the technical challenge needed is too much to provide during the final phase of the development. I believe they ran into unforeseen technical issues in the last month or two. I am being optimistic about the situation and completely understand why many do not feel the same.

I honestly think it is plenty of time these days. If Vanguard is like Cold War it will die incredibly fast. Battlefield however is a big question mark because the previous BF games were a huge let down. I am not sold on 2042 by any means. We must remember CoD and BF will have a $70 price tag whereas Halo Infinite is free and the campaign will be on Game Pass.

Also the campaign cost for Infinite is not steep lol.

BF 2042 will have 64 vs 64 player maps. That’s going to be fun as heck whereas Halo: Infinite max 12 vs 12?

I mean talk about lagging behind.

More people does not equate to a better game or experience. Halo does best when it is an arena shooter first and foremost anyways. It also doesn’t indicate lagging behind at all. Where are you getting this at?
