I searched Google for the release date and it says sometime between October to December (Holidays) for 2020. Can anyone from 343 confirm this.
Halo Goddess 50 (Julie)
Last E3 they confirmed Holiday 2020 so yeah that sounds about right. Who knows with covid19 though…
They said holiday 2020 but the development hell going on by covid-19 and Phil reassuring multiple times recently makes me feel like they’re covering up for a delay. I wouldn’t mind honestly at this point. I’ll understand.
A delay would be fine if they’re making sure this doesn’t end up like Halo 5. All that build up, for that?!!..
343 hasn’t given a specific release date other than “Holiday 2020” to coincide with the launch of the Series X.
They aren’t ready to give a specific date so no, they aren’t going to just drop a release date in a random forum thread lol.

I agree. Also, Phil Spencer stated all is as planned but they would prioritise the team’s safety. Seems like a delay could be on the way. I’m sure no one will be upset about a delay given the testing times we find ourselves in.
I still doubt a delay will happen at this point. They started working from home in March and by now Halo Infinite has gotta be nearly finished anyway. It was confirmed to be playable over a year ago with a pro team testing and by now is probably in the final stages before the beta. My guess is the beta will happen at some point this summer with a late November release to maximize the development time.
I pray it releases by the end of the year and we see some gameplay soon.

If the game isn’t delayed, my money is on November 9-16
Scratch my comment before the most likely release dates are between November 15-22 possibly thanksgiving day but I doubt they would do that considering it’s a holiday and yeah lots of missed sails if they did that. But I came to the conclusion of between 15th and 22nd due to every main Xbox release date being on nov22, so (Xbox,360,one) the original Xbox as well as halo CE were released on nov15/2001. We already know that halo infinite and the series x will be released together so that’s why the 15th comes to mind for me, it would harp back to the original Xbox’s release. This is just my thoughts on why I think 15-22 is a reasonable time frame to expect the release of infinite of course if not thanksgiving itself but obviously with covid-19 going around this could all just be a pipe theory.
I think the upcoming Halo Infinite might be coming out on November 2020 or December 2020.

There’s more to it than developing time and working from home. Production is likely to be the biggest issue depending on how long we’re affected by Covid - 19. They might be able to release it in digital form, but they cannot do that with the physical versions and the console itself. I’m expecting delays with Sony PS5, Series X and many other non essential items. I really hope I’m wrong though.

I doubt this will be a major issue for big companies like Microsoft and Sony and since 343 is pretty much run by Microsoft I doubt it will affect them much either. The only games I see being delayed are games made by smaller companies, which I believe many already have been. If Xbox series x and or Halo infinite would have been delayed I’d think they would have already announced it but I could be wrong.

I really don’t think being a big company will protect them. That virus is pretty ruthless and the main production lines for the Xbox One were in Shanghai in China which was on a two month lockdown itself. The world is currently still in lockdown and China has sadly just had a rise in deaths again. They need to manufacture, package and ship.
I don’t expect there to be mass manufacturing of any non essential items at this time. Like I said, I really hope I’m wrong, I would love to see the game and console release November 2020, but I won’t grudge them a delay if it’s required. Lives have to come first.
Here’s an interview Phil Spencer had with IGN, Xbox Series X.
I think it will be in November mainly because that is Xbox’s favorite month but December works because similar have we seen with the older halo games it was September so they might want to change with the new gen of consoles like the Xbox one did.
