Hi, I don’t know if this has been posted in the past but I was looking at shopping for some req packs and noticed a pre-order for Infinite that shows a release of 12-30-2021. The pre-order was unfortunately blocked out, but maybe this got released unintentionally? I’ve included a screenshot for anyone who’s interested.
The End of December is a default placeholder a lot of retailers use when an official date has not been revealed.
As of right now, it is Fall 2021 release, so that would rule out the end of December as the release date (and they would never release the game AFTER the holidays if they had a choice).

Entirely correct.
Personally I think the biggest piece of information we’ve received thus far in regards to a likely release date is that the novel Divine Wind releases on 19 October. I can’t see them releasing a novel within a month after releasing a game or within 2 weeks before a launch as frankly a lot of the game’s target audience will be, well, playing the game, rather than reading. Releasing it about a month before would make most sense to me For me that rules out mid-September through to the start of November. As soon as the window is in to November, 15 November as the franchise’s 20th anniversary is just too juicy a coincidence to overlook for me. Games usually release on a Tuesday, but they don’t need to - or we go with 16 November.
Additionally: I believe Steve Downes as well as another voice actor have both recently explicitly said November explicitly in relation to release in interviews - obviously that’s not nailed down because they may well not be in the know about 343’s plans and may just be assuming so given it was meant to be November 2020.
However: all the pieces are definitely adding up.

To add to your book evidence, Shadows of Reach was originally set to release Sept 2020 for the Nov 2020 Infinite release.
It sure looks like they are following the same playbook of releasing a book ahead of the game with the delay.
Thanks for setting me straight guys. I didn’t try to troll anyone or get people excited for nothing It was the first time I have seen a date posted anywhere on an official microsoft site so thought/hoped we might have gotten a real date to look forward to. Until then, my quest for 152 continues.

Entirely agree - especially keeping it in Troy Denning’s wheelhouse even if it will probably focus on a different character set.

No worries at all. You saw info, you queried it. All you can do. Good luck on the quest!. Only got just over 11m XP to go myself.

I actually mentioned this before. With a lot more people saying November, and the book releases on October 19th, we can look at the following:
- Halo: Infinite is a “Spiritual Reboot” of Combat Evolved - Halo: The Fall of Reach released October 30th, 2001 - Halo: Divine Wind releases October 19th, 2021 - Halo: Combat Evolved launched November 15th, 2001 (16 days after Halo: The Fall of Reach) - 16 days after Halo: Divine Wind is November 4th (A Thursday)Halo: Infinite has a good chance of releasing on November 4th, 2021. Which is EXACTLY 1042 weeks from Combat Evolved’s release date. (The number itself isn’t significant. It is the fact there are no additional days. The number of weeks is even without any spare days.)
This date also allows Halo: Infinite to launch on a Tuesday or Thursday just like all the other Halo Titles (this includes all side games.)
Closing to prevent confusion, but as noted already dates like this are purely placeholder
