I totally agree. I was so upset at first because I wanted to use all the new features, but I was unable to wield them. After about 2 hours goofing around with forge with my friends, I started to get the hang of it.
I feel like you hit it pretty good with this. I had about 3 hours or so to figure it out with a couple goals and I have the controls most down. Now I do memorize things pretty quickly but I felt like this is a good control skim for it.
Yeah 3 hours seems to be the norm, its a shame most of the community don’t either have the time or the patience to learn the new mechanics.
Thank for that positivity. I have never been a forger, I have never build a map because I suck at it. But playing around in previous title was easy but with so much less option. When I first jump into that new forge just to see how cool it was, I was like what the -Yoink- is this control scheme/new option. I won’t say I got use to it already but for only 20 minutes in, I adapted a little loll.
Sadly I won’t be returning to forge because this thing is just not for me but I can’t wait to see what people would create with it
I agree, at first I had to think about every button press, but since I recently switched from Recon to Bumper Jumper I am familiar to learning a new button layout. Sadly I’ll probably have a good hang of it, the same time I leave to Mexico… RIP Edgemister Forge 2015
