Anyone else notice that the map Regret reuses a ton of elements from the midship map, Truth? A large chunk of it just feels like a copy.
It is smilar and had some Midship elements right,but mid an sideparts are way bigger with open space for firefights.

Some of these maps have cool environments, like the underwater one with those huge scary fish.
I love remixed maps. Its a great idea if you ask me. What’s better than one classic amazing map, TWO OF THEM (speaking about Truth of course)

Take a good concept and make it better this is how you improve things to make a better product there is a reason some of these map variants have been in halo so long. And there are a lot of new maps they are just not in the mm rotation
I actually like regret more than truth right now. Better cover and the movement is more fluid and less funneled.

well actually, regret is a remixed remade remade remix (midship=the halo 3 one=the reach one=truth=regret)
technically there are 6 unique maps
others are reskin/variants
my favorite is Plaza atm
kinda getting bored with the maps because they are all circle/square based
i hope BTB revitalizes the feel of map layouts

yeah a square box underwater
not bashing your post just pointing out that there could have been so much more to this map
-tunnels that go out side and around the map
-man cannons to other floors
-maybe even 2 separate areas linked by a teleport or wide tunnels with cover
343i has indeed stated that “Regret” is a remix of “Truth.” They share many similarities, but are certainly different enough to be separate maps.

Wasn’t it in halo 2 first I think in one of the expansion (I could be wrong it was a decade ago)

Pretty sure. That’s what Greenskull was saying and he’s in pretty tight with the devs so.
Loved the regret map in halo reach… but that being said… didn’t 343 say they would be giving us new maps… all the maps have seen so far are redone maps from older halos and or forge maps. Where are the original maps?
Im ok with them recreating old maps. What i don’t understand is they are just recreating all the old run-n-gun maps. Slayer has zero open air maps like Blood Gulch or Ascension. Those were great maps. Granted Im more of a sniper and less of an assault rifle guy, but still, how about some variety?
