Over the past few months, we’ve been gathering your feedback on Arena map weapon layouts here on Waypoint, and we’ve made a variety of refresh updates to a select set of Arena map / game type combinations in Team Arena.
For Regret, the following changes have been made:
Version 1
Renamed “Overhang” to “Nest” - Renamed “Mid Yard” to “Bottom Nest” - Storm Rifles removed from Blue/Red Rampart - Plasma Caster replaces Fuel Rod Cannon - Storm Rifle replaces Needler in Tunnel - Needler replaces Plasma Pistol at Arch/Top Carbine - Boltshots removed from Blue/Red Ramp - Boltshots replace DMRs at Blue/Red Ledge - DMRs moved to Blue/Red Rampart - Slightly moved Splinter grenades forwardVersion 2
Moved the Needler to Bottom Nest - Moved the Plasma Pistol to ArchVersion 3

Keep both the plasma pistol and needler where they used to be and just have no storm rifle.

Less DMR and BR is never a good thing IMO. We should be able to start with them. Why are they shoving the pistol down ohr throat?
Many of the changes on Regret seemed unnecessary and arbitrary. DMR/Plasma Pistol were IMO located in a perfect place to act as a anchor weapon while pushing out of a base and an OS counter for the team who missed out on it respectively. Also, Fuel is ideal for a map like Regret, with it’s verticality and relatively open nature. It gives players the perfect range to turn Fuel from a spammy version of the rocket launcher to a weapon that hinges on leading shots and predicting the other team’s movement.

There isn’t a filter applied to Regret. Also, apologies on the patch notes. We haven’t removed the Plasma Pistol. It’s still on the map but was moved to “Bottom Nest”.
Also, keep an eye on this one tomorrow when the Memories of Reach update drops as teh Caster will get a significant buff. Curious to see how it plays on Regret.

Yup. Sorry about the confusion here.
Any other feedback from anyone? Needler’s location, Storm Rifle in Tunnel, etc
No thoughts from gameplay as I haven’t gotten around to this map yet in the summer preview, but I think Regret in general had nicer lighting and textures in the beta:
The covenant textures don’t pop as much on my game as they did in that video of the beta. I wish I could have gotten the chance to play the beta, it looked so pretty D:
Hopefully Halo 6 will look that nice :3
Plasma caster was a good addition… Would put atleast one storm rifle in top mid that so plasma caster and Strom rifle could counter eachother… Depending on how you use them
