Regret is an awful map

Every time I spawn you have no idea where you are. It’s all a bunch of curved purple here, some curved purple there, oh let’s curve this purple box and make it more curved out over there. The only time I understand where I am is when I’m top mid or bottom mid. You literally have no idea what base you spawn in.

Why the hell has 343i been getting rid of corner pieces on objects now? Who decided it was a great idea to go with this curved look on every corner, like some moron sand papered every corner piece because God forbid a child bumps himself on a corner of a box and hurts himself.

Fix Regret and make it less trash. No one likes that map. Too much cover and pointless curved out walls everywhere. The map is hideous and doesn’t play well.

Both Truth and Regret are way too curvy, yes. Though I personally prefer Regret over Truth, mostly because It actually has proper lighting, instead of dark blue shadows everywhere.

All you have to do is fix the lighting on Midship but sadly Regret is too trash for it to be saved. The map itself fails to function well at all. I’d rather play on Sword base than Regret, that’s how bad Regret is.

Question, does the lead map designer at 343i have a -Yoink!- with smooth/curved out corner pieces? I have yet to see an actual box with pointy corners at each end.

343 is trying to make Halo look as generic as they can get away with, to draw in a larger audience. That’s what generic future architecture looks like, nothing but shiny smoothness.

I don’t know about you but I like my profits curvy! ;D

Truth is amazing. Perfect gameplay.

Regret flat out blows. It plays just like every awful H4 map made by 343, and reverts back to what I thought they were getting away from with Truth and Empire.
Yeah, the map looks cool, but unless you are on top mid, or the “ramparts,” you can see maybe 5% of the map. The sight lines are just terrible. Team play is non existent unless you have top middle.

To be honest they shouldn’t have done midship I know it’s a great legacy map but it’s been done like 3 times now I think guardian would have been a better choice as would suit the tone of the game and it was a great competitive map

Regret is my favorite map so far and is heavily team based. The only change needed is that the bases need a more apparent tint of red or blue.

They need to add some lighting with color. For example, make one base have red lights, one have blue lights, and then have a planet above the map that radiates light onto parts of the map, like green and yellow.

I love regret, plays well, stunning map, well balanced, the other map on the other hand (cant remember its name) Jesus i hate that map… so horrible to play, so unbalanced

Look for the red and blue fireflies, they’ll help, my only problem is the spawns. Just faced a great team, lost 50-7. They controlled top and spawn killed everyone.

This is exactly how I feel about Regret. That map is so god awful.

I really like regret, but team brs are not great with so many sight lines. Imo*
