I was just wondering whether this beta is going to have any kind of regional matchmaking or not. As an Australian, the last thing I want to hear before a game starts is American accents coming from every other player, because it means that my gun is going to be loaded with marshmallows instead of bullets and they’ll all be armed with the golden gun from goldeneye.
I had very few issues like this with the early access beta the other weekend, but with this one, every game so far is full of Americans and I might as well just stand in a corner shouting “Here I am, come and kill me” whilst firing my gun straight down at my own feet.
Hopefully things get better, otherwise I’m just gonna have to cut this beta short and move on.
At least I still have Titanfall, which does have local Australian servers.
Game I had this morning seemed like it was on dedicated servers mate. All my shots seemed to register fine. If they pull some shady peer to peer back up BS like they did with MCC though then I will just be sticking to Titanfall instead of Halo.

I’m not too bothered by whether it’s on dedicated servers or running on P2P at the moment. But when the other 7 players are all on from the US and I’m in Australia, I’m going to have a crappy gameplay experience. Until I know that I’m going to get put into fair matches against people that are at least on the same continent as I am, I’ll stick with Titanfall. If I’m gonna waste my time playing a video game, I might as well have fun right?
