when are we gunna hear something about the decision on this ? I literally cannot play halo right now …the connection is usually horrible enough playing on na servers but yesterday I was just consistently booted of the servers … sort it out 343 these onyx games without region lock are literally a joke for eu players…

try searching for games in warzone assault and never find a game, only ever have played 1 match of it…
I have always played halo 4 and even reach without this dedicated server stuff. I miss playing the world, not just my own empty country, i used to play halo 4 over my iphone 3g connection and never lagged
What happened here? They opened a thread and thay are not even answering? 
343 is not just a crap team they are rude too.
Never mind, 343 most of your gamers are playing division now and the 13th of may is coming…
Getting games in btb. Looks to be some us servers. (I’m in Australia.) some funky connections, but a lot of ok games (connection wise) and I just had a 40 kill game on Viking. So I guess I can’t complain.

Is anything being done about the community outside of the USA? For the few players that have actually stuck around despite playing on American servers every game, playing anyone from Colombia all the way to Canada.
Are we getting some kind of hope in the new update? Can we have some sort of feedback instead of vague references to matchmaking preferences?

In the next update coming out this month you’ll have the option to just search in your region. 
Hopefully this time packets won’t be routed through 3 servers across the globe

As of about 3 weeks ago, after posting on here it all seems to be fixed for me now.
I’ve actually been able to play SWAT, Warzone Assault, FFA, BTB…etc… all the games I’ve never been able to play.
So what ever 343 did for me, I appreciate it, I can now actually play Halo.
Now my only issue is when I go to purchase a Gold pack and the service disconnects halfway through. Then I loose all my points and don’t actually get the pack!!! Sucks hard as it’s happened a few times now
But at least I can play

Details - I can finally play the list! I have not been successful for many months in getting a game due to server region locking. I receive the message warning me that my distance to the server will have high latency but it is not causing any major issues. I’ve put in 13 or so games in the last day without having any disconnects or major lag spikes playing against US players so whatever you have done it is working.
Appreciate the changes - I can finally play FFA again!!

Regardless of matchmaking setting I can’t find games. After a long delay error says not enough players to support a game. Test Xbox connection, no issues. Destiny game match making works quickly and every time. Super disappointed.

Re connection: won’t bother with massive details, as I think it’s working how it’s gonna work.

Focused works perfectly in Team Arena at any time. (Longer search time on first game, and then seems to roll quite well.) Connection is AMAZING again. Guns work!!!
Haven’t tried Slayer yet.
BTB can’t find a thing on Focused or balanced. Will find matches on Expanded, but it’s US server, and the first game I got dropped into was pretty awful.
haven’t tried Warzone or other lists yet.
Basically, I’m happy. team Arena is my main bit of fun, with BTB a close second if I can get even a passable connection.
I’m currently working on the logical assumption that the main thing that these preferences require is as big a population as possible, and BTB has a small Aus population. So I’ll not bother with a ranty “fix your ish” comment.
