I was playing social matchmaking today and one game it failed to connect. So I searched again and got connected to a game and played it to the end.
However when matchmaking tried to carry on it said that someone in the party was banned from matchmaking. So when back to the social screen and started to search again only to discovery that I got the temp ban. I know it was only for a minute but still.
I was able to play later on however again I got disconnected from a start of a US Server game with the message “Connection Interrupted - Your connection to the game session was interrupted.” I have noticed in the past that some of the games connecting to US Servers seem to drop with this error message. I am in the UK, and any games that connect to EU servers seem to connect without issue.
I hope due to the way Halo MCC PC matchmaking is setup, I don’t get punished for the system attempting and failing to connect me into a game session on a server thousands of miles away.
It does seems to be unfair that if matchmaking attempts and fails to connect me to a US server I get punished with a temp ban of set period of time. Surely if you are doing this punishment, it may be better to temp ban people of the same region due to non fault of player. I know that the system cant see what is server related/connection related fault and what is user fault/cheating. Could you at least give us a setting to select our region for games to prevent or heavily reduce this happening.
I am just disappointed.
