Are you serious 343?? Removed region lock in Australia for 1 BLOODY WEEK and then put it back?? I cant find any arena matches, 343 you need to open region lock or this game WILL DIE
In the next update they’re adding ‘matchmaking preferences’ - that’ll hopefully put the decision in your hands in regards to whether you only want to play with your region or open up to everyone.

What i dont get is that they finally opened region lock but removed it one week later, like why 343?

Yeah, I’m pretty peeved about this. I had the best week so far in Halo 5 thanks to the removal of region lock. I found games in all playlists immediately, was finally able to rank in ever playlist and play every game type, and I had no terrible lag and honestly, encountered more latency issues now that it’s gone.
oh. so that explains why I’m timing out on BTB.
Hopefully these matchmaking preferences will leave everyone happier.

I third this. I havent seen 343 mention mathmaking preferences
The only mention I have seen is here in the forums. Would be good to know where this originated,or if this was just a forum posts suggestion
the latency is really annoying!
Yeah I don’t think the region lock has been reinstated. Yesterday I played games against Americans, Canadians, Germans, and Mexicans, and I seriously doubt they were living in Australia, judging by the lag in some of those games.

1 out 25 games if I’m lucky on AUS servers. Probably why I’m actually finding games.
I’m the same, every game I play has latency issues. It’s not my internet as I have 9ms ping. They need to fix this soon, can’t play competitively like this.
Nope, I think they’ve placed the region lock back into Aus. The FFA playlist no longer shows the high latency message.
