First off, i understand why the region lock was taken off, because the pro’s and the ozzy’s couldn’t find games outside of their prime time slots, and I agree, at least i get to play the game. My frustration is that the unblocked algorithm seems to take absolutely NO initial consideration as to where you are in the world.
I own a netduma router, I can see where the MM is trying to put me. So i thought I’d conduct an experiment, I switch the router to “strict mode” and configure it to boot me from MM, if the server i’m connected to is outside of the EU. Rank wise i’m averaging around Plat/Dia, which i think are fairly populated ranks in the EU.
10 searches, 10 kicks, this is at 7pm BST, which I would consider to be a prime time for the UK, Kids are off school, Adults are out from work.
Am i getting too old, when was connecting to servers in the US acceptable when I wasn’t short of games when the region lock was applied. I’m not a coding wizard, but an algorithm that gradually widens the area of search if games aren’t found shouldn’t be impossible. If it is, then they’ve proven they can put a region lock on, why can’t they make that user selective.
I’m aware some of you will post GITGUD etc, I’m not the best, I’m not the worst, this isn’t about that, it’s trying to get the game experience I had back, because I haven’t been enjoying the game lately.

I hated Region lock since the first time, but an half solution like that is mandatory: removing it and stop isn’t a valid solution.
