The game is unplayable now with all of the rubber banding going on! There wasn’t an issue with finding games at all before… Why fix what isn’t broken?
Please, change the region lock settings back, or whatever you have done 343. The game is filled with enough BS as it is, the last thing we need is poor connectivity!

Playing from Pakistan I think that its an ok thing to have everyone in one pool.

No one is being selfish. The lag is atrocious. You can’t possibly be enjoying it as much as you leading on to be. No one is. You can have 1-2 clean games, the rest are spikey and nearly unplayable. The frustration that sets in from lag is unreal.
This is an issue that needs fixed. This didn’t happen in Halo 3, or Halo 2. Why now? Inb4343 inb4fanboyresponses
Why can’t we just choose?
If I can’t find a game in my own region, I should get to choose to turn region lock off.
I don’t understand why it’s a blanket ‘on or off’ switch.
Being Australian, I don’t mind at all. Since region lock was turned off I’ve been able to find games in the two playlists I’ve always wanted to play. Warzone Assault for REQS points and FFA to achieve my onyx in. I might be at a disadvantage with a higher ping but to me, it’s better than not finding games at all.

Nope, it was fine finding games also from elsewhere although I understand it was not for everybody. But OP is right, the game is unplayable and sucks enormously right now.
But it can be fixed by allowing players to chose for themselves in the matchmaking process whether or not they wish to connect to any server to find a game or if they wish to apply region lock. Then everybody can be reasonably happy although I still think the servers are not spread enough geographically. I still get too high ping even on EU servers for a competetive fps game.

I was finding matches and I wasn’t in USA. Explain that one to me.
The answer is: options. Give us options.
In a recent community update they’ve stated they’ll introduce “matchmaking preferences” in the next title update.
Whatever that means. I hope it to be server selection options or even region lock options.
(Because playing out of region is a joke)

When they removed region lock without statement I was in disbelief. (EU here) I only had the “couldn’t find a match” error twice during region lock.
Besides, the removal of region lock for regions that really needed it like Australia only just happened recently.
Well now at least Australians and regions with very low pop can find matches. Before it helped no one. (Except Americans for easy kills.)

region lock has to come back the game is almost unplayable for me
I can understand that region lock helped a lot of people outside the US to be able to find games but it’s ruined the game play for most of us here. I mean I haven’t seen lag like this since halo 2… and that’s saying something lol so I would just prefer the option to turn it on or off like some others have suggested.
I think i read something about 343 thinking to choose your region, but dont ask me where it was in one of the community news

Wrong. The UK had absolutely no problem finding games with region lock turned on.

Denmark also had fast games during region lock. And stable servers.
