Not sure if you mean FFA slayer, but team slayer was the first gametype of the “tournament.”

FFA Slayer has not been mentioned by 343 yet (I think).
For now, if you want to see your customised armor colours you’re going to have to play Regicide I’m afraid. They don’t even appear in Flood - everyone’s yellow which doesn’t look very good in my opinion.
