Regicide Tweak

Keep Complex, just get rid of instant respawn. I can’t believe you didn’t get rid of instant respawn. That is the worst thing in Regicide. Complex is a great map.

Honestly when it comes to FFA I think Instant Respawn actually belongs. Call me crazy but I hate it anywhere but FFA, where I happen to think it makes a perfect addition.

Regicide is a flawed system. It makes gunning for first near impossible and it has a ridiculous reward for those who kill the king. It also has flawed spawning which make it near impossible to survive without shields. I gave up on it after the connection started getting bad.

I really think allot of people don’t understand why IR is so bad. I think if they did, they would be against it. IR goes against everything that a competetive shooter stands for. You are able to be engaged by the same person that you just killed before your shields recharge. It also results in more people spawning very near to you more often, if not right behind you, so there is more of a chance of someone spawning and engaging you while you are in a weakend state, maybe after you just won a duel or narrowly escaped death. I believe it was once thought that having 3 or 5 seconds (or so) helped insure that kills are more earned instead of more luck. Please consider this, and then ask yourself, Should instant respawn ever exsist in Halo and the answer is no, no no no. Oh, and on a side note, so many people hate Complex, and it’s all because of IR. Complex is a great map. IR is enough to ruin any map and the entire experience. I defenitely understand why population has dropped in this game. I still play it cause I love Halo, but I know I have been playing less lately and this does not help. I enjoy being rewarded for the good I do or what’s the point.

I agree. It’s so fast paced that instant respawns are actually really helpful.

Also, Complex is not a good map for anything, especially FFA since it’s so big. Besides, they removed that one map and added three or four others, so I think it’s a fair trade.

what were the tweaks that were made in regicide, if you don’t mind me asking?

King bounty is always 20 points, they took out Complex, and added some other maps.

I thought they were gonna get rid of IR and maybe give a k/d bonus, but that was too wishfull

They already said they were going to in the bulletin, but they must have meant sometime in the future, and not in this update.

Yeah the bounty is too much. I like the additional maps, but those who don’t like complex I don’t understand.

New playlist updates are out - we’re currently looking into different Regicide variants, but for now, we decided on keeping the King bounty static at 20. This should reduce some of the random luck factors that go into a bounty +
random spawning, etc. We’re looking at adding some different game modes to separate this mode even further from the strictly competitive feel of Rumble Pit. Just found that on the Halo-council.

Complex was -Yoink- for Regicide. If you’re the king and you die you get respawned out in the open 6 times in a row and get lit up by 3 DMRs and a sniper before you can even aim at someone.

King is stuck at 20 huh, might start playing reggie again after the semester ends(not using XBL code till then)
