Its harder to see the font, I don’t know who I just killed or who it is that I am trying to kill
Seems like I have to run for a long time before I find anyone
I don’t like the instant replay and I don’t know if anyone can see me when I -Yoink!- them
More sword and shot gun
Seems like less interaction between players, a lot of silence over the headset
I would like to see regicide fixed or a new game more like a new version of rumble pit, I mostly play big team, but go back and play regicide once and a while, seems like not to many people are playing regicide?
I really like HALO 4, its the only game I play.
rumble pit better than regicide: true
After a slow start and an initially very negative reception from a lot of people, I think Regicide is starting to gain itself a bit of a following. I for one quite like it.
It’s a nice change of pace. There’s still direction to it - hunt the king (or pick off players as they go for the King), grab the map weapons and so on - but there’s a lot of scope for individuality. You keep your base colors, you can use your loadouts, and (map notwithstanding) you can pretty much choose to play how you want too. I’ve been having geat fun getting in people’s faces with my AR/Boltshot/Pulse Grenade/Resupply/Explosives loadout recently, with my friendly little Autosentry giving me covering fire. Other people are rocking DMRs or BRs, or are sneaking around with Active Camo. It’s a great way to match up with literally any other possible loadout and see who comes off best.
Yes, the way you “win” is fiddly at best. You can have best k/d and still lose. You can have racked up most King time and still lose. Even getting most Regicides isn’t a sure indicator of you actually doing well (and in fact requires you to not spend much time as the king). It’s confusing. But if you don’t really care about playing to win then it can be a lot of fun. And there’s something about being King and then fending off five players who are all out for your blood, surviving by your wits and from the ammo and grenades hastily scavenged from their bodies, that you just don’t get in “normal” FFA games.
TL;DR: I like Regicide, and I think that if you give it a fair go you will too. Don’t think of it as all v all, don’t think of it as Juggernaut, it’s its own thing.
I miss rumble pit, My favourite playlist.
Yes, I enjoyed Rumble Pit
I do not enjoy Regicide.
Certain elements of regicide are nice, however losing a match when you have the most kills is irritating to say the least. Today I played one of my best games on complex in regicide. I came in 5th place but that’s because I wasn’t going for the king. I usually quit out right if that map comes up but instead I just stayed out of sight never becoming the king while picking people off, basically playing it like FFA and not Regicide. There are too many moments where I’m about to kill the king and he suddenly gets an overshield. Terrible luck for me, when someone is guaranteed to die only to be saved by a cheap bonus. Other times I’ve seen people hide as the king if they have a comfortable lead, they’ll hide until they get the oversheild, doing that is just cheap.
I for one also am quite glad that almost nobody uses mic’s. I hate hearing people curse at me for killing them, or -Yoink!-. Other people might like it but someone who won’t shut the hell up during a match is just going to get a negative communication review from me.
I agree with OP. Please bring back Rumble Pit/Lone Wolves!
Rumble Pit/Lone Wolves were sweet! But I have a lot of fun on Regicide too. I think 343 is cool for creating their own unique form of every man for himself gameplay.
Just bring back MultiTeam.
> rumble pit better than regicide: true
Team regicide is great.
Regular is horrible and I wont touch it.
God I hope 343 is listening… Bring back rumble pit!!! Your regicide FFA game type is flawed and broken to say the least!!!
