Regicide is too casualised.

I hope that you all know that 343i admitted in their vidocs that they made Regicide fit for beginners, but I believe that it’s too miserable forgiving in it’s current state.

It’s so forgiving that it can barely be called competitive, since the better player doesn’t always come out as a winner. Which is a big problem.

I don’t know about you, but since Halo was meant to be competitive, such playlists offend me.

It fits in team games, not FFA games.

not entirely true. the better classic FFA player might not always win. but the player who is better at the objective will. which is what regicide is, FFA with an objective.

I agree on it being for beginners and newcomers and to appeal to the casual side of things more but that doesn’t mean when you have a skilled player in the lobby he is rounded useless because of these. Everyone still starts off at ground one and yes it does revolve a bit around luck but FFA always has.

So then try to tell me that Regicide is random and only luck and then ask me how I win almost every game. The only people that would complain about this being too gimmicky are the ones that aren’t good enough for it in the higher levels in the first place.

In that case, insta spawning right next to the king that doesn’t have his shield on is too luck based.

I hate that, one thing I think they should fix is definitely instant spawns near players.

that i can agree with, a lot of games have spawn problems. i think they should just make it so you never spawn with an enemy in your line of sight or in an enemies and maybe disable radar for a second or two off of spawn.

Not entirely true.

Regicide is FFA which points out where the winner is to the losers. The winner cannot participate in the “objective” because he cannot kill the king.

It works in team games but not in FFA.

the leader does participate in the objective by becoming it.
