I pretty much joined in progress the last few Regicide matches i played, and each time the king was winning by 150+ points. This doesn’t put me off, so I managed to quickly catch up, when I noticed an unusual trend in the leader board.
The top player in every single regicide match I played uses some kind of noob tactic. In most of them, the king is a boltshot camper. I can kill him easily but no one else can because they just charge him and give him easy kills. The other game, there was a guy who can’t even aim with an AR, but he just runs up to people and sticks them.
Funny thing is, I didn’t win any of these games. Using the DMR as my only weapon, I managed to get 20+ kills both games and those using noob tactics got less than 15. However, they managed to trade with me a couple times as I’m swarmed by people spraying ARs, still managing to kill more than half of the people before one of them runs up to me, and instead of meleeing me, decides to stick me and trade kills, pushing him into the lead despite the 3-4 people I just killed single handedly. In fact, I even lost a match because I got the last kill, and the assist points pushed someone into 1st place and let them win.
Point of the matter is: Bring back normal FFA. Regicide is extremely dumb and caters to the lesser skilled. I always have a high bounty because I stay alive for a long time just so someone who is 50 or more points behind can catch up in a second. Also, REMOVE Assist points from FFA. I can understand Assist points in Team Slayer, but in FFA kill stealing is something you have to know how to do and the other player should not get points for a kill they did not cause.

i see what you’re saying here but what game mode do you play if you aren’t on a headset or with a team…
Answer: nothing with teams. so that leaves you what? regicide and flood?
or am i missing something? its all fun to play when your headsets on or your boys are there and you have comms with your teammates but otherwise argue all you want its only so great of a game if you’re on the team where everyones doing their own thing and the other team is dialed in.
so its regicide or flood… or maybe im missing something… which would be great at this point.
Don’t you be dissin’ on TEAM Regicide now. That is an entirely different game.
But yes, FFA Regicide is bad.
The ENTIRE GAME is noob-friendly
I see what you saying but I haven’t had too many bad experiences in Regicide it seems to me those noob tactics are increasing more in infinity slayer since the infinity challenge started but that’s a whole different story, I would just stick to Team Regicide if I were you, I understand the frustration of there not being a good FFA game type though, a simple mix of crazy king,oddball and slayer would have been nice, and getting stuck with bad teams on all the other game types that’s what’s really starting to grind my gears
I would be happy to see a re-introduction of Lone Wolves from H3.
That was outstanding, even though I always lost. Regicide FFA just doesn’t feel right to me. I go running around with a Storm Rifle and rip the competition up.
The assist system in Regicide needs to go away. I mean, really, its a free-for-all, why the hell does someone get points from the one shot they put after I put a whole AR clip into them?

Basically, All vs 1. Plus, those challenges that make you get a certain number of regicides become extremely difficult to achieve.
i dont know… i think the king assist is a good thing… otherwise its just called crumbs.
and why not a FFA. just that. or even a pro FFA. like pro slayer but FFA. i just hate getting bad teams. and its constant. id rather play a sloppy regicide game than hold my team up and still lose in slayer.
I mostly use the FFA version for my Storm Rifle and Plasma Pistol commedations.
BTW, the double shot, melee, single shot tactic with the Plasma Pistol does not work very often considering everyone is too far away to melee.

Well when it turns into all v 1 your in a game with people who don’t know how to play properly, the best way to win FFA Regicide is to kill everyone seeing as that’s how you can take the lead, if your 10 points behind the king you dot have to kill the king to get ahead, people need to educate themselfs on how the game types work because I’ve seen this happen too many times in a Regicide match, I find it make it an easy win when it’s only me and the king (if I’m not the king) killing everyone, also is a pain in the butt in Team Regicide
I would love to see FFA come back, I like regicide because it gives everyone a fair chance, but sometimes I just wanna battle it out and win because Im good, not because I got the most regicides.
