I believe strongly that it’s perfectly balanced except 1 minor flaw. Upon a King’s death, his bounty should reset to 10. This keeps better players from losing games they shouldn’t lose. I went +12 K/d one game and lost to someone who went -7 because I was King the ENTIRE game and my bounty was always at like 35 points.
It would level out perfectly if I died and it reset to the default 10 again.
What do we have to do to get a regular FFA in here? How long do we have to wait?
I hate regicide because you get completely swarmed when you are the king, and lose games to people who have 10 less kills. Honestly its a miserable playlist for me so I never play it, but if there was a regular FFA I would definitely play it a lot.

I’m glad Team Regicide is being put into Team Objective. Team Regicide is a great gametype, and it reminds me of VIP, but 5x better. I love it.
FFA Regicide, on the other hand, should not, at the least, have its own playlist. Do what the guy I’m quoting is saying, and I’ll be happy with it.
Just echoing what the others have said, but remove it as its own playlist.
Regicide is a fun gametype, but it should not be the only free for all available, and nor should there be 2 playlists devoted to FFA. This gametype perfectly fits into a playlist like Rumble Pit alongside Slayer Pro, Infinity FFA, Oddball and KotH.
People really, really want standard free for all slayer, and it’s time you gave it to us. We’ve been waiting 3 months already.

Remove instant spawn across the board, and have the weighting from highest to lowest in that order. I’d rather just a Slayer FFA list, using only Slayer, Infin Slayer and Regicide, but I know some like Objective FFA and I’m willing to compromise on that.
Honestly they could also make a VIP gametype exactly like Halo 3 by making the King random upon a King’s death instead of the person with the highest points, or whoever kills the king becomes the king, somewhat like Juggernaut.

Well put, could also include a classic/Pro variant if they nail a good one
For regicide if max bounty was 25 and it reset to 10 upon being collected you’d probobly get a lot less complaints

I thought the idea of a mobile slayer objective would be an awesome progression from the Reach Invasion Slayer mode. It draws everyone to one focal point, making the action much more intense. However, in reality I find Regicide punishes good playing, to the point where I don’t want to be the King anymore. IMHO it just doesn’t work well as a FFA.
However! I absoluely love Team Regicide. King Joust is one of the coolest callouts ever. Of all time.
I’d only play FFA Regicide if it were rolled into a general FFA playlist with the following options:
-Infinity Slayer (with instant respawn)
-Regicide
-KotH
-Oddball
I don’t play Regicide because the scoring is inherently flawed. In addition, it presents as a slayer game; however, it’s an objective game without a clear objective.
If the objective of the game is to kill the king, players should not be awarded points for killing players who are not the king. Past gametypes, like juggernaut and Headhunter, seemed to approach a similar idea but were more successful because they either did not award points for undesirable behavior or they awarded points dynamically with everyone knowing explicitly what was at stake and having a clear prompt as to what to do.
In addition, the seemingly random application of powerups to the king is often frustrating and unfair.
The team version of Regicide also could benefit from a scoring system overhaul and a look to prior gametypes that were more successful (e.g., VIP). Currently, it feels like the scoring system is incomplete, as greater points are awarded for killing the king, but there’s little to prompt a king to not get killed. Further, once a king is a king, he usually remains the king throughout the game. Inevitably, since the game only rewards offensive play, the most aggressive player is usually bestowed the crown, but this is also usually the player who dies the most.
This is very frustrating.
Personally, I think both variants of Regicide should be abandoned. We would much prefer a FFA Slayer variant with scoring based on kills, and Team Regicide is so similar to Team Slayer in how it actually plays as to seem redundant.

Also agree with this, while I don’t really wanna play FFA oddball and Koth when I’m in a every man for himself killing mood is settle with it knowing that we actually have a regular FFA, a pro FFA and a tweaked regicide to make it a better experience than it currently is already. Then I’d be fine with all those others in the playlist, you already have it in a way, “FFA throwback” plus lone wolves infinity and pro & regicide. BAM

I agree this man, except for the objective gametypes. When it comes to FFA no one plays for the objective, they just want kills. K/d boosters FTW

Honestly what is the reason for not having a regular FFA playlist 3+ months since launch? Why do we have to keep waiting for this? Its basically universal in favor of regular FFA>regicide. Just do it already.
